I haven't read the Others. (shame on me) But, I would rank them like this.

  1. TOA
  2. Dead King Saga
  3. The Trench

Throne of Atlantis. Trench was a pretty short and straightforward 4-issue story that just established Arthur, nothing groundbreaking. The Others arc was fun, especially with the introduction of the team and Black Manta's return. But ToA takes the cake for being just an epic conflict with gorgeous art and basically the first crossover event I've enjoyed in a while.

The Others.

Battle Royale is probably the best words to describe how I felt about the arc.

Ivan Reis also drew, IMO, some of his best facial expressions in that arc - the sadness in Arthur's eyes when Vostok dies, the rage on Aquaman's face as he swears vengeance on Manta, and when Manta urged Arthur to kill him. Top drawer stuff!

The Others was just amazing. One of the most badass villains ever created was used in an awesome way and I just loved everything about that arc.Everything after that was just too average.

I have yet to read Throne Of Atlantis or Death Of A King, so I choose The Others. One of the most badass story arcs I've ever read.

Picked ToA, but it's been an excellent book from the first issue.
