Best Comic Book Covers of the Week: 3/21/14

It's time to take a look at what was super cool in covers this past week! Each week, the staff of Comic Vine chats it up about what covers tickled their fancy and then they put it into this fancy little piece for your eyes to feast on. Also, we ask our followers on Twitter what covers they liked as well. Let's get right down to business!

HARBINGER #0 by Clayton Crain

First up this week is HARBINGER #0 by Clayton Crain. This cover is fantastic mainly because Crains's artwork is breathtaking. Everything about it just screams awesome, and as always, his colors are awesome.

DAREDEVIL #1 by Chris Samnee

Next up is DAREDEVIL #1 by Chris Samnee. Aside from this being a really fun cover, we love the way Samnee put the onomatopoeias inside the outlines of the cars.

DAREDEVIL #1 by Alex Ross

So nice, it made the list twice! Here's the Alex Ross variant for DAREDEVIL #1. Ross is one heck of a legendary artist and he shows why here with this beautiful cover. You get to see Murdock's life flash before your eyes on this cover.

ANIMAL MAN #29 by Jeff Lemire

Next up is ANIMAL MAN #29 by Jeff Lemire. It was sad to see this go, but we really love Lemire's cover for this last issue of ANIMAL MAN. Aside from the great portrait in the center, the border work here is cool and insanely creepy.

SUPERMAN UNCHAINED #6 by Sean Murphy

Finally, here we have SUPERMAN UNCHAINED #6 by Sean Murphy. It's all my favorite Superman's on one cover, drawn by one of my favorite artists! Folks who enjoyed 90s Superman will really take to this cover,

WINTER SOLDIER #2 by Andrew Robinson

The cover you guys picked was WINTER SOLDIER #2 by Andrew Robinson. This and the variant for this book were pretty dang cool. The distinct style stands out and we love how the words "soldier" appear within the smoke.

Alex Ross' DD is amazing, the Sean Murphy Supermen are great as well.

Wow! That Harbinger cover is awesome!!

I think my favorites this week were Ms. Marvel #2 and Thor #20. Really liked the covers for Wonder Woman and Nova as well.

That bleeding monk cover is freaking amazing! Might be one of my favorites ever. Also, that DareDevil by Alex Ross is just happiness.

Right on, Animal Man made it. Andrew Robinson's Winter Soldier covers have really been on point.

Why aren't Birds of Prey covers on here? They're always awesome!

Really? Do see it. In fact, I think that is the ugliest, worst cover, at least on this list. Its just 4 ugly drawn characters. I'd never pay money for that.

Hmmm...you're going to have to specify. Are you talking about Animal Man or Winter Soldier. Either way your wrong.

That Winter Soldier cover is definitely well-deserved here.

Even though it didn't make it, I really liked Zero #6's cover.

That Superman cover is really cool looking.

Every time I see a Clayton Crain cover, I get more and more excited for the fact that he is actually going to be drawing the interiors on Rai that will be coming out soon. His art is always amazing and the preview pages for Rai do not disappoint.
