This regards movies, actual series, and GT. What is your favorite villain from any Dragon Ball related media?

So, in my personal opinion, I have to say Broly is the best villain. Don't misunderstand me, I don't care about his power. But what really puts him at the top is his backstory. A Saiyan born with so much power, that even the king feared him. I like Broly because he is just a pure psychopath. I admit, when I saw the part with Broly hating Goku because of the crying, I kind of took a double take. But then I realized that it wasn't necessarily the crying, It was the fact that he had suffered all this trauma, and during the midst of it, Kakarot's crying was pretty much the last thing he wanted to hear. Broly is just a pure psychopath, and he takes joy in destruction and destroying planets and solar systems.

Alright, for worst... I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to say Buu. All versions. Buu kind of just came out of nowhere. He had a backstory, sure. But it was completely out of nowhere. So two Kaioshin come out of nowhere and tell Goku and friends about this product of evil that the gods created and sealed up, and it was just random. I mean, Frieza had a backstory about being an evil space tyrant, (And having association with Bills. Spoilers) And Cell was the product of Dr. Gero and grew from being a single cell organism to being this powerful being, and you can't deny that his English voice is awesome. But Buu... Eh... he just seemed random. It's one of my issues with the Buu saga. He's powerful, no doubt about it, but he could have a better personality and an actual character to define, because even though he was psychopathic, he was more annoying, and the fact that all he does is laugh (Sorry, I can't stand it.)

But what is your opinion? Who was the best DBZ villain?

I know I will probably get a lot of hate for this, but I firmly believe the characters in DBZ are very flat. Now before anyone tells me I don't even know DBZ, it was my very first anime. I watched it nonstop, all day, everyday after school back in the day. But the thing is, I have realized DBZ is good for epic action, but not much else. The best villain, I would say is King Piccolo. Why him? Even though he was pure evil, he wasn't the generic kind. He didn't want to just destroy stuff, he was like a psychological terrorist. He claimed he would destroy a single city, one every year. Meaning you could be next, meaning you might have only one year to live. Meaning.laws.are.out the window. If he succeeded, rioting and widespread violence would have swept the world and he'd have sat there at the top watching the entire thing. Worst, I have to say is Kid Buu. Now, this one isn't personal, but I HATE characters like Kid Buu. Just mindlessly destroying and laughing at it. That's more like being a destructive force of nature than a character, so why do I give a sh*t about you when you have no personality or depth?

@jloneblackheart: They had no character to go by. Judging them would be just pure assumption. Android 13 was a typical redneck, Spice Boys were just typical henchmen, and Bojack... Yeah I have almost nothing to go by. And yeah, I don't even count the Garlic Jr. Saga as canon in the first place.

I liked super buu, I liked the whole evil dominating the good. I liked the inner conflict he had about killing mr satan.

That one scene where he is about to murder him but stops last minute gave my chills. I also love his signature neck snap. Villain wise buu is a very flat VERY flawed character...to this day people argue which buu is stronger (don't want to get into it at all) because his story and what his absorbing powers actually do is muddled....logically you would absorb something to get stronger not weaker but whatever.

I loved Cell purely because of his arrogance an how he was weirdly patience and his english voice was just sooo cool.

I really liked Majin Vegeta, the fact he chose to be controlled, just to try and prove his superiority to Goku was just pure awesomeness. If he doesn't count as a villain I'd go with cell, because his goal was to find perfection and surpass everyone, which isn't evil for say, he sure didn't do it without casualties, but who can blame him? (sarcasm), since internet sarcasm doesn't work

Best villain: Vegeta, or frieza till he became a joke.

Worst villain: Everyone else? Maybe, buu. The final villain of a action packed anime: A pink(!!!) rubbery thing with nearly no intelligence and didn't kill satan. Fail.

Worst character: satan. Die.

The best villain was Turles and the worst one was the brain from worst was Android 19.

I chose Cell as well cause nostalgia as I got into DBZ around the time Toonami was airing the Android/Cell sagas.

The worst was and still is Buu in my eyes. He was a forced creation in a forced arc that never needed to happen. DBZ should have ended after Cell Games.

I first heard it due to Dragon Ball Z Abridged. It was Frieza's ringtone. God bless those dudes at Team Fourstar. Best thing to happen to DBZ in a long time.

To me, Frieza was the epitome of evil. The dude used and abused numerous races to achieve his own desires, and easily one of the toughest fights the Z-Fighters ever had. Plus I loved the irony of his character: he destroys the sayian race because he fears the Legend of the Super Saiyan only to plant the seeds for the rise of a Super Saiyan. Glorious.

@thegreyoutcastx: Agreed. The video clearly shows that Frieza is like, Hitler, Osama, Kim Jung, and Stalin all rolled into one. He's not psychopathic evil, but he's the type of person who is clearly selfish, and NEEDED to be stopped.

Best was Frieze. He was responsible for the series up to that point and a total racist-supremecist genocidal bastard with no redeemable qualities at all. I hated the Buu saga, but I will give Buu credit for managing to actually kill everyone on the planet.

Broly is the worst villian, he's literally a over grown crybaby.

I freaking hate Satan. As if everyone in that group would just bend over and let him have the fame and glory...especially Vegeta.

Now that I think about it it is kinda true. But I'll go with Android 19 and 20. The best I believe ( and this is because of how much destruction he made was every incarnation of Buu. I like the fact that when he met Mr. Satan he started becoming a better person, even before that he cured a blind person, and saved a dog. And all of the evil essence came out of him and beat the crap outta him. I also like the fact that he was the first person to cause the most destruction then any other villain in the DBZ verse.

i personally think the most successful villain was Broly cuz nobody could f@ck wit him...nothing but straight power. but i think the best one was perfect cell cuz i remember watching the cell games and no matter who stepped up to him...he was always laid back and cool about it. i liked his charisma and he backed everything he said up (until gohan). the worst villian i gotta say is zarbon. prettyboy that beat vegeta only to get his a$$ stomped by vegeta.

Loved that he is an evil Geenie with awesome techniques.

Least favorite characters- Pan by far and then it is chi-chi, and the great saiyaman.

Favorite characters: vegeta and master roshi. Vegeta always had the best lines that made me laugh my ass off and Roshi is hilarious with his perverion.

Best was Frieza, who actually was the strongest being in the universe. Even after his death. Every villain after him had to be created to surpass his power. He had it all naturally. So he still stands as the most powerful villain of DBZ by not having any augments to his power.
