DCCU- it's what going to make this story great. Seeing Clark slowly win the people over. The fact that people are kissing the ground he walks on immediately is good. People shouldn't trust Clark right off the bat.

Based on that quote though this movie is going to go for a lot more of a real feel to it. Opposed to the mcu movies where somehow there are always zero casualties besides maybe one main character which I don't have to explain how unlikely that would be.

Dccu isn't afraid of talking about or showing death for the sake of losing viewership of younger audiences. It's real stuff that happens that people have to deal with

This movie will suck.

You know, I liked that at the end of Avengers they discussed the 'accountability' of the Avengers...coming from a politician. A politician would ignore the fact that if Superman or The Avengers hadn't helped the damage would've been potentially genocidal instead of just mass ('just' being a relative term obviously). That's something you expect from the suits.

Batman being Batman, you'd expect him to recognize that if Superman wasn't there things would have been a lot worse. Instead of, let's just say, a few thousand casualties it could have potentially been millions. As a superhero himself you'd think they'd have the Bruce character understand that.

I'll still be rooting for Batman, but this motivation seems a little weak.
