Batman /other heroes and protective clothing

Why doesn't batman wear something to cover his mouth? I've seen him get punched soo many times in the jaw and bleed.. Would it kill him to cover it with some bullet proof plastic or something? I won't even start to comment on green arrow and Hawkeye bring sleeveless or the skimpily dressed heroines

well...sorta, yeah. besides its not like anyone actually aims for the jaw anyways. some people have a hard time hitting/shooting him in the chest let alone the jaw. and the new 52 already did something along those lines, granted its not a full on face mask but theres something there.....

Fanboy mode on: Batgod don't need protection, he could solo marvel and DC naked if he wanted to...

isn't the batsuit enough.......plus its not easy to breathe with something covering your whole face

Harder to breath and it will still hurt so why waste any time doing it?

Archers often need to have their arms exposed. Or at least not wear loose sleeves.

He has something in his exposed flesh.

Batman costume isn't about self protection. Unless his about to fight someone like Superman.
