Batman or The Avengers: Who is the bigger cash cow?

Does DC make more money from all their different Batman titles or does Marvel make more money from all their different Avengers titles?

Could be Avengers on this one. In terms of comics, Batman sells more but they could likely bridge the gap from the movies. Seeing how insanely successful Avengers movie was and how popular marvel movies in general have been.

One has to realize the amount of profit a movie can make, outright overshadows the amount of money you could make from comics.

I think he's talking about comic books since he mentioned titles and if it's the case then Batman titles combined are selling way more than Avengers titles, In terms of movies Avengers have the edge now but in terms of franchise, the Batman movie franchise is still bigger than the Avengers(not MCU), also overall Batman is ahead since he's way ahead in games which are as profitable as movies (2 Lego games another on the way, 3 Arkham games another on the way, Injustice had more than 70% Batman characters), also the Batman 66 TV series is still making profit through merch, comic books and recent re-release, Gotham will surely be a hit, he's way ahead in animated movies and shows, also I've seen more Batman merch than Avengers merch so I think he's ahead in there also but I'm not sure.

Batman is actually ahead of Spider-Man right now.

I am referring to comics, because DC has several Batman comic going right now (Batman, Batman and Robin, Batman Eternal, Batwing, etc.) and Marvel has several Avengers comics going right now (Avengers, Avengers Assemble, Uncanny Avengers, Secret Avengers, etc.) and both franchises are getting a lot of attention because of their movies.

Then Batman wins without a doubt because there are more Batman related titles than Avengers related titles and the Batman related titles sell more than the Avengers related titles.
