I felt Batman Begins delivered the classic origins of Batman in modern terms much better, from the death of his parents to his training around the world to his first nights as The Batman. Personally it's one my favorite origins movies. Very underrated in my opinion.

I agree it is
I liked Man of Steel, but it had its fair share of problems that weighed it down. Some of the pacing just felt off, and the flash-forward at the beginning was kind of confusing. I didn't recognize Cavil with the beard and it took me a bit to realize that was Superman. Pa Kent's death ended up being more ridiculous type funny than dramatic, and the Lois falling scene was hilarious. Anyway I still liked it but I have to give this to Batman Begins.
Batman Begins easily. Best out of the Nolan trilogy, and second best CBM of all time behind Avengers IMO.
@war_killer: Batman Begins is underrated? It has a rating of 8.3 while Man of Steel scored 7.6. Maybe the movie is more overlooked, it was released 8 years ago when I was 12 - 13. I wouldn't say underrated. That being said, I liked Batman Begins more.

People tend to overlook Begins in the favor of the Dark Knight.

I agree with this. I really enjoyed Man of Steel, but I preferred Batman Begins.
I may be a bit biased, though. :P
I love both but I prefer MOS because I'm a huge Superman fan and overall I prefer his world/universe. I was more interested in Zod than R'AS, Henry Cavill as Superman is a lot better than Bale as Batman. MOS was rougher around the edges but I preferred it...I'll stop my Superman wanking now.

100% agree
I love them both. But MOS is the Superman movie I had been waiting for for a looooong time! MOS is better.
Man of Steel for me.

Yay.
MoS for me. I liked Batman Begins but it had some issues for me. The whole plot was way over complicated and the drug they showcased was pretty inconsistent. I also HATED the fight scenes in Batman. It was never Nolan's strong point in any of his movies, but it was especially worse in Batman Begins (got better in TDK and TDKR).
I'm too lazy to find a clip, but Batman's first fight as Batman is taking down a bunch of thugs, and all we see is the camera spinning around shaking a whole lot with flashes of black and guys grunting. It was pretty fail. (I hope to god we get some decently choreographed fights with Affleck's Batman)
Also...the Rachel character sucked and Katie Holmes sucked more (Maggie wasn't any better). It was pretty much the weakness of TDK trilogy - not having a good female lead until Anne Hathaway came along.
There was no emotion in Batman Begins. Watching Clarks reasons for becoming a superhero was more believable than Bruce's in my opinion.
Batman begins is very underrated. It should go Batman the dark knight then batman begins and then batman the dark knight rises

Basically. For whatever reason, people tend to forget about Begins in favor of The Dark Knight and even TDKR. But as an origins movie, it's pretty spot on and presents Batman in a very modern and believable way.

What? No. An Origin movie as a prequel? I hate that.
@ganon15: In what way was there not enough characterization or story?
@monsterstomp: Well I hated the tornado scene, that really didn't add anything to Superman's character and as much as I liked MoS that was just another thing I had to tolerate.

It felt too rushed and was like 90% action!
@monsterstomp: I was ranking them in order of how much I liked them.

That torando part played a lot to Superman's character, it wasn't a thing that just happened.
Batman Begins easily. Best out of the Nolan trilogy, and third best CBM of all time behind Kick-Ass and Man of Steel IMO.
fixed. btw what did you think about the wolverine? i just saw it and was wondering?
@allstarsuperman: I liked it a lot. It's gets an 8.5 from me.
Begins completely left out the part where Bruce trains his mind. Man of Steel's origin nailed his character and why he is the way he is.

i mean like deeper. what did you think about the characters? ive never even heard of viper or silver samari?
awesome batman origin movie or a toilet clogged with superman comics and cgi. tough call. oh wait no it isnt.

Even as an insult, that none-too comprehensible.

Exactly. Clark even explained it in the film.
I just wanted to see the results. XD.
yeah me too.
I still love Begins, but prefer MOS instead of Amazing Spider-Man,
Probably my list would be the Nolan Trilogy, MOS, Spider-Man, X-Men 2, Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Avengers......and all the way down the list is Iron Man 3 :)
