It seemed to appeal to just my fellow battles junkies and didn't lure in more people. Batman Battle of the Month, on the other hand, seems to always do pretty well. Unfortunately, Moon Knight's powers are a thing of the past. I think Spector has what it takes to give Batman an entertaining fight, but ultimately, he holds no key advantages over him.
I still cannot believe Snake Eyes lost, he was part of DC company a few times! But to be expected! Haters gonna hate IDW.
I don't think it has anything to do with publishers as a whole. But hey, at least Snake Eyes didn't get completely blown out in the poll and it hopefully motivated some people to at least research/read more of the character.
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiif I do use it, it won't be in the near future since both characters have technically appeared relatively recently. But yeah, I like both characters, so I wouldn't be shocked if it happens one day...
Hey Greg, I would like to suggest adding prep to this battle, in order to pair Batman with a more powerful (but still street level) foe, say, The Lizard for example? Or the Shocker? I'm really interested in seeing how a battle against The Lizard goes while he has prep. Obviously details of the prep would have to be a bit specific but they can be worked out. Maybe even a change of scenery. Just to shake things up in this thread. Prep is Batman's bread and butter, it is to Batman what the Spider-Sense is to Spider-Man, or the Healing Factor to Wolverine.
@anjales: Prep in a battle is better to avoid, cause raving fans will wank it. I don't mean to be rude or dismiss your idea, but it could turn into a flame war on prep alone. :/
@allstarsuperman: a good idea to fix that might be to limit what batman could use in his prep. Maybe by taking away things like the insider suit and making it so that he can only use things he's used more than once in comics
There won't be any note worthy discussion beyond: "Batman with prep wrecks, yo!" "Batman with prep is soooooooooooooo overrated" if Batman gets prep in any of these battles.
@k4tzm4n: Might I suggest Luke Cage vs Batman? I've seen it heavily contested in a thread or two and awesome cases can be made for both sides (Luke for his physical advantages and the fact he's actually a decent tactician against Bruce's gear, nerve strikes and tactical mind)
I think Batman with gear vs Mister X can be a good match. I'd be interesting to see if Bruce can use his tactical mind and gear to overcome X's prodigious close quarters skill.
I'd say rest Batman and use Bat family characters,current Red Hood vs Winter Soldier would be my pick(yeah I know Bucky wins,should be cool to debate though)

Since it's a random encounter, Venom/Sandman/Hydro seem unfair. Doc Ock crossed my mind, as did a certain someone who killed Gwen ;)
@k4tzm4n: I've always seen Batman vs Osborn as very one-sided. Huge advantage in stats, mobility and firepower. And no weaknesses to exploit.
Doc Ock I can agree with.
Agreed that Norm has immediate advantages, but then it comes down to whether people believe Batman can overcome them... or if he'll fall before he can.
