Batman and Superman wear underwear outside of costumes

Sorry about the title, my previous one was too long. Well, have any characters ever criticized or made fun of Batman or Superman's costume for wearing underwear on the exterior of their costumes? It's a strange question, but I'm curious..

I never took it as underwear. only a different color scheme in the costume

hopefully batman wont have underwear in the snyder film. i am curious to see how they will tackle that since superman dosent already have it.

I remember an episode of Superman TAS where teenage Clark Kent sees an image of himself from the future and he immediately makes fun of the underwear.

I wrote a blog about this years ago but the new costumes seemed to have changed the look.

Why does Superman always get flak for wearing the trunks, but people seemed to ignore it on Batman? Is it because Batman's are black on gray and thus stick out less?

Also, Batman usually wraps himself in his cape, or operates at night in darkness where such a thing wouldn't really be obvious. As compared to Superman, who operates in broad daylight.

@rdclip: even my sister noticed the bulg she was like that's so weird is superman a stripper? and I was like it seems so. Joking though
