Bane vs Deathstroke: The Cooler Character

Bane.

Both are physically dominant, skilled, and cunning warriors. Great tacticians and strategists. Not to mention both are great characters with good stories and personalities.

It's a wash for me, both are two of my favorite villains/anti-villains.

I prefer Bane.

Both when done right are equal to me. However, Bane has been prone to bad/adequate portrayals a bit more so than Slade IMO.

Deathstroke.

Deathstroke for me, although Bane is up defintely up there

Very hard choice. I think as anti heroes I prefer Bane but as villains I prefer Deathstroke.

Both are pretty cool, find them both over rated as hell as regards to coolness. But Deathstroke by a hair.

Deathstroke stomps the luchador.

Who's cooler? Well, that's simply going to be a poll stomp in Deathstroke's favor. The guy is the definition of badass.

However, when writers actually factor in Bane's intelligence, he's pretty badass himself.

Depends on the depiction but I'd generally say Deathstroke.

Deathstroke. He's a elite class villain for both Batman and Green Arrow, two of my top 5 favorite comic book characters.

Deathstroke. I just love that man :3 But Bane is pretty good too.

They are different kind of characters so you can't really compare the two.

Bane is my fav Bats villain but he peaked at breaking the Bat.

@stormshadow_x: He was better Pre-52, but writers don't seem to know what to do with him in the New 52. Even at his best he doesn't have the mental acuity he did Pre-52.

Anyway I posted a year ago here but I've re-kindled my fondness for Bane reading his older stuff. Deathstroke gets more publicity (and he's awesome no doubt) but Bane is just an awesome character, Bruce's physical and mental equal but opposite.

@granitesoldier: I love bane. SO much i was conflicted as to rather I liked the Nolan Portrayal of him. He's always been the perfect enemy to me. he challenges the Bruce Mentally and Physically while his other villains such as Joker/Clayface only challenge in one way. Also helped he wasn't really all a bad guy.

Slade while BA has always seem like a toy of the writers especially Pre 52. He turned alot of characters into jobbers, seemed almost perfect, and was never the same in his appearances. He lacked consistency. He could be honorable and then just like any other I'm evil villain.
