Where do you purchase your bags/boards?
What is the difference between what the bags are made out of?
@alktrio3: Mine doesn't, a pack of 100 bags is around 7-10 bucks, boards, around $13
@dagmar_merrill: Isn't that seriously overpaying? You can get 100 of each for under $16. But I guess to each their own.
@iaconpoint: Don't know..probably is.
LCS, and I wouldn't know I just get them a quarter for one.
That's ridiculous. It's like $7 to a pack of 100 bags. In fact, this one shop I go to every now and again gives you one free bag for every comic you buy.
I haven't bagged or boarded in three years. It's just way time consuming. But my LCS has em.
Right? It feels weird not too though. But yeah, as I said, I've got hundreds of books I've yet to bag and board. I hate storage. Even longboxes are incredibly inconvenient and won't fit anywhere. I wish I had like 10 short boxes instead of 2 longboxes and 1 short box.
@dagmar_merrill: No I mean it is according to math. 12¢ vs. 25¢ is definitely cheaper. Don't worry about me doing that math for you, I have a nifty calculator on my "mobile device" and it took all of 5 seconds to calculate. Enjoy!
I bought some from my LCS ages ago but then I had to start ordering comics on-line and when they turned up they came bagged and boarded, so consequently I've ended up with a stock pile that I haven't used for ages.
When we sold bags and boards it was like 10 cents for individuals (hefty markup) or you could by them in the larger bundles like two bucks above cost.
Almost nobody bought the bigger bundles. It was weird. We would tell them flat out, "you're basically paying for our time to stuff boards into bags because it's a hassle and we don't want to do it". But people would shrug it off.
