Azzarello says Wonder Woman is faster than she was Pre N52

Yes. Before Meredith Finch. He wrote that book for the first 3 years of New 52.

how can he say that?we are almost 40 issues into the new 52 and we still dont know her power set.

That statement pretty much contradicts his very own New-52 run.

How so? What speed feats has she failed to accomplish that Pre 52 Wonder Woman accomplished?

In Pre-New-52 Diana several times was shown to be fast enough to race with Flash (granted he most likely wasn’t at full speed back then); tagging Superman and Powergirl, on battle forums I several times saw scans with other very impressive speed feats, etc. Maybe I just don’t remember something from New-52 WW’ run, but nothing topping those feats comes to mind.

that didnt answer my question. You basically said the writer was wrong and that shes slower than pre 52. and i asked so then what has she failed to do that pre 52 ww did succesffully. cause you know, thats the only way to know if shes faster or slower. Not having the exact speed shown to us in each panel doesnt mean she was going fast or slow. its just simply unknown. but now the writer has spoken and we now know shes even faster than pre 52. sorry if im short and to the point, im trying not to burn my kitchen down.

By the way, when exactly Azzarello said it? Cause I’m doubtful about his authority on this matter. If it was during run, then maybe; if now, when Meredith Finch is the writer, then… Plus I don’t really care (or believe into) about words spoken without any connection to established comics-continuity. Maybe he said it, but as long as New-52 Wonder Woman don’t show any occasions of actually rivaling and topping her Pre-New-52 counterpart’ top-tier speed feats, I’ll see those words only as unconfirmed statement and nothing more.

She needs feats to prove that if that statement is going to be see on the battle forums.

she already has many speed feats that didnt have a number behind them. And now the writer is telling us that they were done faster than pre 52 could have done.
