AvX lulz from Brevoort

From Tom Brevoort's Formspring account:

Yup, the PF is below skyfather level now.

Other moments of minor hilarity:

In other words, shut up, fanboys.

I'm amazed at how much open disdain that he and Quesada express towards their consumer base.

Why is it they let people like him write things about the characters we like, and more importantly, why do they publish what he writes?

Must we remind the people that this guy wrote the freaking Fantastic Force. What is it they expect from him? Do they hope for some sort of miracle?

Sadly that is the mentality of the writers and editors. It explains why certain people get hired over and over or given carte blanche to do what they want.

@Dernman: I just see it as an excuse to continually put out sub-quality comics.

This should have more comments on it by now.

A Marvel editor is a complete jerk off? This is a total surprise.

He's right tho, We are all talking about how bad AvX is but how would we know unless we read it? And we (collectively) are still reading it. Just like fear itself, just like Bendis on Avengers. So we may not like it but we can't really deny it either.

@tg1982:

I didn't read Fear Itself and I'm not reading AvX.

You'd think that after OMD, they would've figured out that antagonizing your readers is not good for business.

@jrock85: Fair enough, perhaps I was being too general in saying all of us, but alot of people have read Fear Itself, and alot of people are reading AvX (myself included for both events). So I still feel that he isn't really wrong.

I find it Ironic that he said Thanos never defeated the Avengers when his first appearance in Iron Man had him soloing the Avengers all at once.
