Both were good but AOU was the best MCU movie to date for me. The action was great spader was amazing as ultron and every character got their big moment in the movie. Not one character was left out like they were in dofp. Avengers 2 was slightly better than the first avengers for me

Wow, AoU was so much better than Days of Future past. again, if DoFP didn't make all other crap X-men movies never happen it would be an average movie at best...... Magneto was cool, 20 seconds of Quicksilver was cool, and that's about it.

DOFP. My favorite movie from last year and last year was very strong movie-wise for me.

@rogueshadow: Sorry dude, but you think the Russo's have a "better grasp" of all these characters than Whedon? Based on what, exactly? Winter Soldier? While that's certainly a very good film, they've only proved that they can do Captain America (and Black Widow). We have no idea whether they'll be able to cope with directing effectively three Avengers movies (CW and IW 1+2).

I liked both but Avengers:Age Of Ultron gets the slight edge, it was more enjoyable.

DoFP.

AoU was subpar at best, it most definitely doesn't warrent an 8/10. Perhaps a 5 or 6. The action was far too quick, especially during the opening scene. Some of the writing was really awful as well, I have to say I cringed a couple of times. The villian was in no way threatening. We barely saw his power and the voice talent was completely wasted. They could have explored how much he despised tony, but they never did and instead focused on jokes. The fact that nobody (bar one) died just goes to show how silly the whole thing was. It made out in the trailer like there were going to be consequences, they never came. It was corny as hell. Not a single civilian died. And they only killed QS off because they knew he couldn't compete with the one in xmen IMO.

I'm not a fanboy, I swear I watched the AoU trailer about 20 times. At least the vision was awesome. They got him bang on. Other than that, there's nothing great about it. Doubt I'll be watching it a second time.

AoU by a fair margin, I really liked DofP but it was less enjoyable and had more flaws imo. Plus quicksilver was underused and he was the best part of it.

DOFP, and it's not even close. Better in all categories except battles.

I didn't literally mean all of the characters, but of the characters they've done and the relationships between them, they are far more identifiable, individual and have dynamics truer to the characters (for example Hulk and Widow really wasn't very good). Joss Whedon's characters often suffer from being basically segmented portions of Joss Whedon's own personality, this is a clear through line in all of his work, they all have that same snarky attitude and dialogue, with many of his characters, you can give any one of his lines to another character and it would sound appropriate. This isn't always the case, but it is something I see a lot.

Avengers was a good film, but flawed, these flaws will not translate nearly as well to A:IW at all, I like what he did with it, and enjoy them for what they were, but based on what I've seen, the Russos have a greater handle on their properties. Of course we have to see how they do juggling far more characters, that's just a given.

I liked both equally. although Pietro could have single- handedly stopped the whole thing from happening if they let him come along. I do appreciate them at least introducing him but it felt like that's all that scene was for....

Dofp.Spite.

AOU was......

Hulk + window romance = me gagging and being super uncomfortable

Cheesy one liners= girlfriend laughed, me wanting to throw up

This whole movie was Marvels attempt at making me want to vomit and sleep. I hated it. Ultron was a villian?

Good parts

Hulk vs Tony

First appearance of Wanda and Ultron

Hammer lifting contest.
