I love Joss, but i have no doubts the Russos will make a better movie. Given the Avengers are alredy estabilished and have LOTS of fans, quality will bring even more people.

@spider-manwins: Nah, I doubt that. It is just now crossing $1.2b and made less than $30 mil over this current holiday weekend which included today. It also was released early in most other parts of the world except in China where it opened a week or two ago. So I think it maxes out at around $1.35b. Well short of A1 which made $1.52b.

@asgaard: My source is common sense. The movie is 120M behind A1 after each of their 4th weekends. AoU also opened in EU and Australia a week or two early, which means they're already starting to dwindle more at the box office. A1 only made 1.5B, and AoU is over 100 behind the pace that A1 set.

Sure... common sense is always more credible that boxofficemojo articles/analysis, but OK it's your own opinion, we will see who is right in the next month...

Haha. I'm doing all of my analysis from boxofficemojo. The film is much farther behind the pace that A1 set at this point, and it's slowing down at a faster pace as well. Forbes predicts the movie to finish 200M shorter of its predecessor, which would be 1.3B.
