I being a mormon would like to know what everyone thinks of us.
Ask questions and if I can answer I will and try to be respuctful because I will be at my most open mindedness as I can.

@kittyparker13: Wut
Beata
Perhaps a religious website would be better for this sort of thing. At any rate, such a topic belongs in the off-topic forum, unless you are talking about a comic book character's Mormon beliefs.
@kittyparker13: well I disagree with her opinion about gender inequality of our church. In our church we believe that the women are the Nurturers of the family and the men are the protectors, and we have seen throughout the Bible and Book of Mormon that the men have held the priesthood. However about what she actually did to get excommunicated I don't know
@fil123: no that was only for a part of the translations for the BoM and only for a part of that
I'd been to a Mormon church several times as a child. My best friend growing up was Mormon. As an adult I find the religion pretty silly. To be fair though I find all religion silly. Thats not a knock on anyone or any faith. Only my opinion.
@longbowhunter: what do you think is silly about it
If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? I'm just curious for you to not have gone on a mission yet. Do you plan on going on one in the future?
@1234567809: Namely Joseph Smith and how the Book of Mormon came about. Visions, golden plates, seer stones. I wouldn't buy that story no matter who was selling it. Combine that with the fact it was being pedaled by a convicted con-artist.
@longbowhunter: well visions of and ordination have been around since the biblical times even to young such as John the Babtist who was set apart at eight days old and Samuel was set as prophet at small age after receiving a visitation from an angel. And as for the con artist later in the church he was excommunicated, and you could ask the same thing about Samson and why The Lord used him for his work.
@kittyparker13: for privacy reasons I not showing my age but I haven't reached mission age just yet. But I do plan on going.
@1234567809: I understand, thanks for answering. :)
@1234567809: Like I said earlier, I find all religion silly. Your's no more so than any other.
@blackwind: I had no idea that she was because personally I really am not interested in an pop cultural actors/authors. And trust me we don't have any contral of what members do. And I agree worst creation ever to exist (books not person)
