Loved the Freudian slip on Quesada. I laughed so loud.
Oh god, I wouldn't want to imagine DC or Marvel getting their hands on DEATH NOTE. Thankfully, Shueisha has no reason to want to sell out that franchise to other publishers. I'm glad that Hollywood adapted movie has seemed to disappear. Hollywood can't manage to adapt most Western media well, and we've already seen what they do with manga, DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION. I'll never understand the Hollywood mindset of, "Hey, this is really popular. Let's buy the rights to make a movie, change everything about it, give it the same title, and people will love it!". I know you can't expect 1 to 1 adaptations, but look at HARRY POTTER. That was incredibly faithful to the source material, and it sold quite well.
I thought the end of DEATH NOTE was amazing (You need to finish it, Tony.). That was a manga that proved early on that literally anything could happen. I was very satisfied, and I'm glad that it's ended so I can move on to other series.
@herrweis : guess what else is in Asia? Europe. Europe is also not it's own continent. Do we now call Europeans Asians? There is a distinction needed becuase middle eastern is different than Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Cambodian etc.. The same way European is different than the other categories too.
@ravisher: Her body sure is. Or Kwannon's body is. I didn't think I'd really have to go into the fact that Betsy is not fully Asian. I figured everyone knows she's British and Brian's sister.
Andy Diggle would be the worst thing to happen to Action Comics, IMHO. And Uncle Ben as a cyborg? Marvel would be murdered, one artist, writer and employee at a time. Seriously. And thanks for answering the 2-month discrepancy about comics, G-Man. I was curious about that myself.

@Billy Batson: He's never struck me as one who enjoys writing superheroes alot. Sure, Green Arrow Year One and all that may stand out but for me, that story was just OK to me, nothing really stupendous or amazing. I just don't know if having someone who is kind of 'anti-superhero' writing the flagship title for one of comics' most popular superheroes is the way to go. I can be pleasantly surprised though so maybe a benefit of the doubt is in order.
Great video this week, I'd just like to add three things:
"Mystery Men" was based on a comic book. Remember Flaming Carrot?
Asian superhero: The Collective Man (Contest of Champions).
As far as major companies acquiring other properties, aside from Captain Marvel & the entire Marvel Family, a huge amount of DC's characters were acquired from other companies (Blue Beetle, The Question, Plastic Man, Uncle Sam, Captain Atom, almost the entire Freedom Fighters & Squadron of Justice roster, etc.).
Keep up the great work!
@G-Man: thanks for the answer. Marvel Now's FF is coming up soon and to me it seems like Hickman's story isn't close to being done. I was just wondering if it was going to be like Milligan and Allred taking over X-force.
at 20:00, yeah but if you think about there are more female asians superheroes over males. Marvel has quite a number of female characters. Just saying..

Wait...what? Europe is most certainly a continent. Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Australia, and Europe. At least, that is what is taught in most countries around the world, I know some countries teach that the Americas are a single continent...but as far as I know, every where acknowledges Europe as it's own continent and nowhere acknowledges the Middle East as its on continent.

Asian heroes!!! go go sunfire!!
@McKlayn: I knew it. Someone owes me a quarter!
@Bigwalt: It is indeed a Court of Owls mask. Don't tell Batman. Or maybe I got it after defeating a member.
Hey,@G-Man: You skipped over 2 of my questions.
Could you awnser them next week? Please.
I dont want my questions to get all samonillaey.
Another great video, thanks for reminding the world that Kitty Pride's a FREAKING NINJA! HELLO! It makes me feel all funny inside when i think about a Psylocke and Kitty ninja battle. If you think about it shes probably the most dangerous ninja in the ninja club, she can walk through walls for Crom's sake!
And G-man, you were so right about that Allred guy, he's the song-bird of our generation and a pretty good comic book drawer guy. I've been spendin' some cash, i call it the "Mike Allred Stimulus Program", snatching up everything i can get my grubby little hands on, so i'll say thank you, but my savings account hates you.....
@Mr. Kamikaze : It's called "Eurocentrism". You just said yourself that some consider the Americas as one continent. How in the world can that thin little strip (which has been severed by the Panama Canal) unite two continents into one on one hand but the connection between Europe and Asia doesn't unite THAT land mass into one continent? Europeans (sorry guys) think they are the center of the Universe and as such there's no way they can be "Asians". They have to "consider" Europe a continent so they can separate themselves. Teach any child who doesn't know this what a continent is then ask them to count them on a globe. I GUARANTEE you they will count Asia (including Europe) as one. When you tell them to look for the mysterious Extra continent they will look at you like you're crazy.
