Power/Potential

Jai Maruk muses that Ventress is better than him in everything:

On the long flight home it had been easy to look away from that fact. As he lay on his cot in the Jedi Temple , planning combinations and footwork, he had forgotten this one, seemingly critical detail.

She was better.

Faster. More elegant. Better footwork. More precise with her blades.

Succumbing to the dark side of the Force might be a poor life decision, but even her touch with the Force was better than his: more powerful, more subtle, more nuanced, and—this was the hardest thing to admit—more deeply understood. She understood her own nature and skills and weaknesses better than Jai knew himself.

Just better.

-- Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

Ventress is stated as having grown stronger during the Clone Wars:

Q: Asajj Ventress has grown even more powerful in the Sith arts since we last saw her. Have you approached playing her differently this time around?

A: Although she's back and more powerful, to me she is still the same person as she was before, and I'm playing her from the same place.

-- Insider 122

Her raw talents and bottomless well of anger and pain bolstered her dark side abilities. Giving into her rage granted her further powers.

-- Star Wars Databank (Old): Ventress, Asajj

Another source notes she was growing in power all the time:

Though often thwarted by the Jedi, there was no doubt that Asajj Ventress was not only a powerful dark side Force user, but that she was growing in power all the time.

--

He knew her power was growing, and was beginning to contemplate the path to becoming Sith Lord.

-- Star Wars Fact File 67 (Relaunched)

According to Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ventress could have been one of the greatest Jedi Masters in the Order had she not turned to the dark side:

"You have my pity, Ventress. You could have been a great Jedi Master. One of the Order's brightest lights..."

-- Republic 60: Hate and Fear

Ventress is Dooku's most feared associate, and the scourge of the Jedi:

She is a deadly solo agent:

Ventress was to be a mainstay of the Separatist command structure as well as a deadly solo agent.

Dooku claims that Ventress is more formidable than she looks:

Dooku views Ventress as his best agent:

My best agent, Asajj Ventress, will infiltrate the Jedi ship, and either free Gunray or silence him.

-- The Clone Wars Season 1 Episode 9: Cloak of Darkness

Ventress is one of the Republic's deadliest opponents, and her control of the Force is noted to be exceptional:

Allying herself with Count Dooku, Asajj had become one of the Republic's fiercest and deadliest opponents. Her control of the Force was exceptional, but her rage was overwhelming, as were her combat skills... and her prowess with a starship.

-- Boba Fett #6: Pursuit

She is a well trained Force user, having learned to use the Force in many dark and dangerous ways:

Though she was not officially a Sith apprentice, Ventress had clearly been well-trained in the arts of lightsaber dueling and Force manipulation.

-- Star Wars Databank (Old): Ventress, Asajj

"She's clearly learned to use the Force in many dark and dangerous ways."

-- Star Wars: Republic 53: Blast Radius

Ventress was the Confederacy's deadliest operative alongside Durge:

It was Dooku who founded the Confederacy by uniting the most powerful commerce barons in the galaxy to his cause. He also personally recruited the Confederacy's most deadly operatives: his dark side disciple Asajj Ventress and the bounty hunter Durge.

-- Star Wars Databank (Old): Dooku Count

Asajj is a formidable opponent for the Republic:

In becoming Dooku's henchman, the bounty hunter was teamed up with Asajj Ventress, a Dark Jedi and commander within the Separatist military. The two were formidable adversaries for the Republic, and Durge took the lives of many Jedi with great zeal.

-- Star Wars Databank (Old): Durge

Even as of 22 BBY, Ventress is noted to be possibly Dooku's most powerful apprentice. This is very impressive, because it would place her prime iteration above the likes of:

  1. Quinlan Vos, who dominated K'kruhk, a Jedi powerful enough to pull a huge ship out of the sky.
  2. Saato, who was capable of choking Padawan Anakin into unconsciousness, and Skywalker's feats by this time include moving a massive Conqueror-class dreadnaught fast enough to intercept incoming missiles.
  3. Trenox, who was also capable of instantly and easily incapacitating Anakin.

Asajj is more powerful than the Emperor's Shadow Guards. This is significant, because one of them was a tough challenge for the likes of mid-novel Galen Marek, whose feats by this time include ragdolling thousands of Kazdan Paratus' Force-imbued junk golems, powering a ship so huge that it would take him hours to get around it on foot, and overpowering Shaak Ti:

In that particular instance, Bane and Sidious were foiled, but Sidious' basic aims remained. He sought to create a network of Force-wielding agents loyal only to him. None would be trained sufficiently to be a threat to Darth Bane's insistence that there only be two Sith, nor would they be a threat to Darth Sidious or his apprentice, Darth Vader. The most powerful of these agents were "only" Sith adepts but would appear almost as dark Jedi - the likes of Asajj Ventress, Mara Jade, or Inquisitor Valin Draco (in fact, a fallen Jedi). The lesser agents were reduced to still-deadly faceless minions. Among their ranks were the Shadow Guard.

Darth Sidious notes that Ventress has become very powerful. He also senses her powers growing stronger, enough to create a disturbance in the Force, and orders Dooku to eliminate her out of fear of being overthrown by Ventress and Tyranus:

Sidious: "There is a disturbance in the Force. Your assassin, she has become very powerful."

Dooku: "Yes, my lord, she is quite important to me"

Sidious: "Too important"

Dooku: "Master..."

Sidious: "Silence! I can sense her powers growing stronger. I would hate to think you're training your own Sith apprentice to destroy me"

Dooku: "Never! My allegiance is to you, and you alone."

Sidious: "Then you must prove it. Eliminate her."

-- The Clone Wars Season 3 Episode 12: Nightsisters

Sidious knew that, should Asajj become any more powerful, the combined might of Dooku and Ventress could overthrow him.

Ventress is a master of the Force, and a match even for the Republic's greatest Jedi:

A ruthless and cunning military mastermind of the Confederacy - Asajj Ventress is instrumental in fighting the Jedi during the Clone Wars. Count Dooku discovered the mysterious Asajj Ventress on a war-torn planet shortly after the Battle of Geonosis. Though she had never trained as a Jedi - Ventress demonstrates a corrupt mastery of the Force. Under the tutelage of Count Dooku - she has embraced the dark side - using her twin curved lightsabers to cut down all those who would oppose her. Often accompanied by the bounty hunter Durge - Ventress is more than a match for the Republic's greatest Jedi.

According to Ahsoka Tano, Ventress is too powerful for any one Jedi to fight alone:

"Master, all due respect, but Ventress is too powerful for any one Jedi to fight alone."

-- The Clone Wars Season 1: Cloak Of Darkness

(Canon) Ventress is stated as being exceptionally skilled in the Force, and a formidable foe:

Asajj Ventress had indeed once been Count Dooku’s Sith apprentice—and pet assassin. Kenobi and Anakin had crossed lightsabers with her on more than one occasion. Tall, lithe, exceptionally skilled in the Force, the former Nightsister was a formidable foe. But if anyone hated Dooku, it was her; Ventress’s former Master had tried to kill her. Rumor had it she’d attempted more than once to return the favor.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Obi-Wan Kenobi claims that she is more experienced in the Force than many Jedi Knights:

Kenobi had told him Ventress didn’t suffer fools. And yet Vos knew he had been behaving like one around her since they had met. This was the moment, he realized, when his mission would either succeed—or fail spectacularly. Kenobi had also cautioned him against trying to use the Force to manipulate Ventress in any way. “She’s extraordinarily strong-willed, and she’s more experienced in the Force than many Jedi Knights,” he had said.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress is a powerful Force-user:

Even with a Jedi and a powerful Force-user like Ventress, there were simply too many guards at the main entrance to either take out or try to sneak past.

Speed

Ventress is said to be extraordinarily quick:

He covered the distance between them with a single somersaulting leap. Asajj Ventress was extraordinarily quick, but her very ferocity gave Obi-Wan a hairline opening, a moment when he had the better leverage. He blocked Ventress’s lightsabers, and managed to pin her blades down.

-- The Cestus Deception

Ventress and Kit Fisto move in a blur:

The two leapt and swerved, collided and bounced away. Single against double lightblades. Hands, knees, feet, all in a mind-numbing blur.

-- The Cestus Deception

Ventress dodges a flamethrower and displays enough running speed and agility to avoid many flaming projectiles:

Ventress moves so fast that Jedi Master Darrus Jeht was unable to track her movement:

That was disheartening; she was learning. Jeht rolled clear of her riposte and leaped to his feet with his saber raised…

…a moment too late. With a lunge so blindingly fast that his eyes never tracked it, the Dark Jedi thrust her other lightsaber forward against his side and ignited the blade, impaling him. Jeht felt the shock of a hole drilled straight through his ribs and lung, felt the burning pain of instant cauterization.

(Canon) Moving her lightsaber in a blur:

He could hear more blasterfire as the guards stationed outside doubtless tried to halt the escaping trio. Surely, the two rescuers would be tired from the fight against so many in the throne room. He heard a strange noise and, rising, caught a glimpse of a blur of light off which his guards’ blaster bolts seemed to be ricocheting back at them. A lightsaber?

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) She moves as swift as thought:

But Ventress wasn’t there. She was behind him, screaming as she swung her glowing yellow blade. Vos was forced to dodge. Swift as a thought, Ventress raced past and whirled to face him.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress moves her blades so swiftly that Vos couldn't see what happened:

Suddenly there came two flashes of red. A woman—bald, pale as the stars, clad in black leather and expertly wielding twin lightsabers, appeared.

Asajj Ventress.

The Jedi and the Sith acolyte engaged in a heated fight. Ventress’s lightsabers had unusually curved hilts, so that she needed to wield them in a slightly different manner from the standard, straight lightsabers. Vos watched, forgetting to breathe, horrified but unable to tear his gaze away from the brutal spectacle. Then, so swiftly Vos couldn’t even see what happened, Ventress had gotten the upper hand.

Tholme’s lightsaber went flying. Ventress pointed both her weapons at Tholme. He raised his hands and knelt before her. Surrendering.

Ventress ran him through.

One glowing blade pierced Tholme’s heart. The other gutted him. Vos’s beloved Master fell to the ground.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) She moves so fast that Obi-Wan is hard pressed to parry her attacks:

“You don’t understand,” Ventress cried. “You weren’t there!” She whirled, targeting Kenobi now instead of Vos. Her green lightsaber was a blur and Kenobi was hard-pressed to parry.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress speed blitzes Sudmin, and moves her blade so fast that Vos barely has time to register it, let alone stop it:

She leaned forward and placed her left hand on Sumdin's shoulder, squeezing gently. A sudden blur, a familiar snap-hiss, and Sumdin crumpled without a sound. There was a smoking hole in her torso. Ventress's face was calm as she extinguished her lightsaber and rose. The murder had happened so fast that Vos had barely had time to register it, let alone stop it.

"What are you doing?" he cried.

"She helped us!" Ventress's voice was cold.

"Remember what I taught you, Vos. No compassion. No loose ends. She doesn't matter. All that matters is what we came here to do. There must be nothing-absolutely nothing-to stand in our way now. We've come too far."

Durability/Pain tolerance/Willpower

Ventress survives being crushed by a rancor with no apparent damage

Howling in pain, the rancor staggered backwards. Ventress charged at Anakin, unaware that the beast was almost upon her. The rancor collapsed on top of Ventress, and Anakin dashed away to help Ahsoka.

(Canon) Her willpower is noted to be extraordinary by Obi-Wan Kenobi:

Kenobi had also cautioned him against trying to use the Force to manipulate Ventress in any way. “She’s extraordinarily strong-willed, and she’s more experienced in the Force than many Jedi Knights,” he had said.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) An injured Ventress survives a massive drop, then getting thrown around by Grievous:

Ventress's lightsaber flew out of her hand as she and Grievous plunged downward. She struck the ledge of a lower level hard, her head hanging over the edge. Grievous was atop her, his slitted golden eyes hungry for blood as he growled down at her, his foot on her throat. He seized her with his four hands and hurled her down to the level below them. She slammed against the wall beside one of the elegant windows and crumpled to the ledge.

She was taking a bad beating, she realized in some distant part of her mind. The earlier blow to her skull should have killed her.

Ventress temporarily numbs her pain after being Force pushed against a column hard enough to crack her ribs:

Then he threw her backward with a Force push. She hit a column hard enough to hear something crack, and staggered to her feet. [...]

Ventress chased him through the passages and up flights of ancient stone stairs, slowed by whatever she'd injured—vertebrae, ribs?—even if the adrenaline and endorphins flooding her blood-stream had completely numbed any pain for the time being.

During her fight with Darrus Jeht, Ventress withstands being struck by a huge tree trunk. Later, during the same duel, she tanks an enraged Jeht's Force storm, which caused all of her muscles to ache, and every bone in her body to feel broken. In spite of this, she displays enough willpower to remain conscious and report to Dooku:

His eyes blazed as he growled at her, his own hunter's snarl to match her own. The tree she was on tore free from the ground and hurtled into the air. She leaped free and bore down on him, expecting a similar response from Jeht, but she was completely blindsided when the huge trunk stopped and pivoted in midair without the slightest pause in momentum. It caught her full in the body, sending her sailing with a curse of pain and rage sideways into the misty mire.

--

The pain in his side vanished in that instant, and he rose to his feet but was not standing. Instead, he hovered nearly a meter over the ground, the mist around him whirling in a torrential cascade of shrieking winds and arcs of bright lightning. All he could see was the woman's face, all he could feel was her hated heartbeat, and all he could think about was tearing her limb from black-leather-clad limb.

Reaching out with the storm, his own howl of rage lending thunder to the tempest, he sent the full might of his fury crashing down over her. She screamed and turned to run as the maelstrom struck, coursing through her body with electric arcs of agony. Her lightsabers fell, lifeless, from her spasming hands as she flew backward and was pinned to a tree at the edge of the clearing. Buffeted by gale-force winds and racked by lightning, she could only writhe under the onslaught.

Jeht felt power unlike any he'd ever known. His wound was forgotten, his pain a dim memory. She would die; she would pay for all the lives she took. This was justice. This was righteousness. This was holy wrath, and he was its powerful instrument. He laughed at the sight of her twitching under the torment of his spiraling storm of retribution.

And then he couldn't see her as a huge metal ship landed between him and his victim. The connection broken, it was as if the strings holding him aloft had been cut. The whirlwind abated instantly, and he fell to the earth below. With a sudden gasp of pain, Jeht's mind cleared enough to realize what he'd done, what he'd unleashed. When his men finally rushed out of the gunship and hauled him aboard, his night-black eyes were weeping.

Some distance away, rasping for breath and barely able to move, the Dark Jedi huntress watched the Republic transport lift off into the air and rise up into the clouds. Every muscle ached, every bone felt broken, but she had a duty to fulfill. With one trembling hand, she pushed a button on her wrist and a hologram of a stately older man appeared in the air before her.

"It is done, my master."

The man's transparent face, difficult to make out clearly in the bright blue of the hologram, was obviously pleased. "And he survived?"

"I pulled my strike. He --" She nearly passed out from pain, but she locked down her will and forced herself to remain conscious. "He will live, though he'll remember this day for a long time to come."

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress is deceptively strong:

But what else was he supposed to do? Ventress—although more than a little scary, even Vos had to admit—was an attractive woman, slender but deceptively strong, with unusual ice-blue eyes and, well, a lot of other things that people might reasonably notice.

Immovability

(Canon) Ventress uses the Force to cling to a pipe:

Ventress shot out a hand and grabbed hold of a pipe that ran the width of the building. Moregi’s shirt tore and he slipped from her grasp, but she reached out a second time and seized his hand. He clung to it, ready to take his chances with her rather than fall several stories to the unforgiving pavement.

Using the Force to lock her fingers in place on the pipe, Ventress tightened her grip on Moregi’s hand. But his palm was sweaty from the chase, and he began to slide inexorably downward.

Force Deflection

(Canon) Deflecting multiple blaster bolts with the Force:

With their master otherwise occupied on the other side of the bridge, the remaining droids opened fire freely. Dozens of bolts streaked toward Ventress and Kenobi. Calmly, Ventress batted back some with her lightsaber; the others she simply redirected using the Force. Three more droids fell, twitching and sparking.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) She deflects debris:

Before Vos could retort, there came a thundering crack and the entire tower shivered. "What was that?" Dooku exclaimed, stumbling to his feet and lurching out the door. It opened onto shambles. The windows that enclosed three-fourths of the space had been blasted away, along with the consoles on that side. Incongrously beautiful chunks of crystal covered the floor. Tongues of flame licked upward, and the room was starting to fill with acrid smoke. Droids were firing, futilely, and as Ventress watched, the Jedi shuttle came around for a second pass. "Down!" Vos shouted, and Ventress and Dooku obeyed, dropping to the floor. Ventress propped herself up on one elbow, deflecting debris with her other hand. The tower trembled, again, and then lurched violently.

(Canon) Easily mowing down a number of pirates:

Ventress had been using a combination of the Force and the pirates' own blasters to methodically mow them down. It was almost too easy. She'd already incapacitated the half-dozen who had been unloading the cargo ship, and Hondo had brought only another ten back with him. There was an ample supply of things to hurl at them—pitchers, a crate and the sharp-edged tools it was filled with, mugs, stools, even the pirates themselves could be used to knock their fellows down.

(Canon) Ventress uproots a tree:

It was a faint sound, but both of them tensed. Moregi must have thought that they were so engaged in exchanging quips that he could sneak past them. Ventress’s respect for the unnamed bounty-stealer went up a small notch. Few ears were sharp enough to have detected the soft noise. It was time to end this, and her patience—both with the Idiot and with the bounty—had worn out.

Ventress homed in on the source of the sound, extended a hand, and casually uprooted the tree behind which Moregi had been hiding. He stared at her, four eyes wide with shock, then fled toward the edge of the rooftop.

Telepathy/Force Sense

She senses Anakin jumping into hyperspace

Ventress readied herself for another diversionary tactic. She'd been preoccupied trying to contain Kenobi, too busy and angry to concentrate on feeling the subtler variations in the Force, and any suggestion that she should turn her attention elsewhere wasn't going to work. But now that she'd stopped for a moment, she felt it.

Skywalker was gone.

Jedi: Mace Windu

Asajj senses Obi Wan and Kit Fisto's presence:

Asajj Ventress walked through the midst of the projection field, eyes closed and fingers outstretched, resembling a blind girl mapping an unfamiliar room.

Or so it might have seemed to one of mundane mind. [...]

Finally, Ventress turned and faced them. Her hand stretched out, one quavering finger touching a point in the midst of all the glowing lines. "Here," she said. "They are here in this place."

"Are you certain?" Lady Por'Ten asked. "You can be sure of their location?"

The others held their breath, not wishing to contemplate the potential danger of questioning this woman in any way, shape, or form.

Her chest heaved slowly as she replied. "You of the Family are dead to the Force. But Obi-Wan. Yes... he is alive with it. He and... yes..." She closed her eyes. "One other." She inhaled, as if scenting something in the air. "The Nautolan. Yes. He is Jedi, too. I feel it. I can feel their ripples in the Force."

She smiled at them. "If you see ripples in water, do you know where the stone has dropped. If these maps and this information are good, my analysis will be true."

Ventress displays Force Concealment in her attempt to infiltrate the Rattatak arena. Dooku sensed her, but considering that she managed to kill the Count's host without any noise, and Dooku's praise of her abilities, this is a good feat for Ventress:

Ventress learned the Quy'Tek meditation, a form of concealment:

She laughed mirthlessly. “Of course,” she said. “He almost sensed me.” For months Count Dooku had taught her the Quy’Tek meditations. It was good to see the result. Her grin was as feral as a kraken’s fixed and meaningless smile. “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” She settled back into her seat and closed her eyes. “The game is mine.”

Ventress is noted by Jedi Master Darrus Jeht to be extremely skilled at concealing herself from his senses:

Darrus took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and reached out with the Force. He couldn't see her coming, but if he could become truly calm, truly centered, perhaps he could sense her approach. Useful in theory, this had been less than effective so far; the woman seemed extremely skilled at cloaking herself from his farsight.

She manages to get close enough to Jeht to strike him without being sensed

Again, his instincts flared and again he obeyed, falling prone as a scarlet arc of light tore through the air where his head had been. "Scraps. Little devices. Lesser arts. Not nearly what you would if I were your apprentice sworn in blood, I know. I am no fool," she said angrily. As if he didn't know that. As if she needed to convince him she was deadly. "I have learned much about the Sith. Their lineage and their greatness."

"But what of their natural history?" Dooku said. Ventress blinked. "What?"

"The Sith, considered as a species. An insect, perhaps." Asajj's thin lips got thinner. "You mock me."

Darrus Jeht considers Ventress a deadly and fearsome opponent

The mist was his ally right now. It made everything indistinct and hard to see, but it masked him just as well as it concealed her. And with his lightsaber off, he wasn't making the same sharp hissing noises that she was. She didn't seem concerned with stealth; she was stalking him like a tiger, and every time she struck, it was with full, terrible warning. Feats

Ventress duels evenly with Padawan Anakin:

It should also be noted that Anakin needed to draw on his anger to defeat her:

Anakin followed Asajj through hyperspace to the ancient Sith temples of Yavin 4. Anakin continued his pursuit on foot, aided by clone troopers. Using the Force, Asajj whittled away the clone trooper guards, and then began a stunning lightsaber duel with Anakin. So skilled was she, Asajj even proved to be a challenge to the fabled Chosen One of Jedi legend. To defeat her, Anakin needed the edge granted by giving into anger. In a furious counter-attack, young Skywalker repulsed Ventress, who nevertheless survived.

She contends with Remlout, who had learned the Tal-Gun martial art, in unarmed combat before incapacitating him with the Force:

She glanced at his shoulders, his hands, his eyes. "You've been to Xagobah," she said. "To learn Tal-Gun?"

"Yes," Remlout said, confused. Not many X'Ting ventured offplanet.

Asajj Ventress smiled. "Your neck is pale: their blue sun's burning has faded. You've been away from your teachers for some time."

He nodded, mouth slightly open in surprise.

"Count Dooku told me that if I wished to progress in the arts, it was vital to take every challenge."

--

Now the two of them were in a cleared space. Remlout stepped in an arc, circling Ventress.

Remlout cartwheeled, and then balanced on his primary hands, his feet tracking Ventress as if they were scan detectors. Those primary hands were as broad and strong as most feet, and Fizzik knew that Remlout could stand like this for hours.

Fizzik had seen this before: Remlout making his formal challenge of any visitor who had a similar code of warrior ethics—or seemed to offend his master Trillot. The fact that he made the challenge so soon was not remarkable in itself, but Fizzek suspected that there was something more going on here. He had seen foes attempt to penetrate Remlout's defense only to be struck with such nimble violence that Remlout's punishing feet might have arms.

Most cowered at the sight.

Ventress was another matter altogether, however. She swayed back and forth, ripples surging through her body as if she were some kind of sea frond. Strange: she was clearly female, but she moved more like a X'Ting male.

Remlout made his attack: left-right-left, feet jabbing out in a breathtaking three-strike combination. Ventress never shifted her legs, but somehow avoided the triple-threat. Fizzik ran the sequence back through his mind: Ventress had moved bonelessly, with a spinal relaxation so extreme that she could have shifted only a centimeter or less, angling sideways, sliding from the path of each kick as if she had all the time in the world.

Something else had happened, something obscured by the flash and flex of limbs. Fizzik couldn't see it, but Remlout was on the ground, writhing, face purpling, twisting on his side, hands reaching around for his shell.

The assassin spasmed, the muscles in his back tightening again. Remlout's face grew tauter and tauter, more deformed with strain, and he howled as if in the midst of the most monstrous and debilitating muscle spasm in history. His entire body arched, and with a series of rending pops Remlout's supercontracted muscles splintered his own shell. He collapsed, drooling and almost motionless, his head wobbling in aimless circles.

...

She bowed graciously as several of Trillot's employees picked up the hapless Remlout and carried him away. With every jostle, he screamed. They were not as gentle as they might have been, and Fizzik supposed that Remlout's history as a bully worked against him.

Ventress nearly knocks out Obi-Wan with a kick:

Ventress was surprised, but in the next moment disengaged her right-hand blade and slashed at his neck, attempting to behead him. There was no time for conscious thought, no time for anything but response as Obi-Wan ducked and spun back. She defeats Kit Fisto, a Shii-Cho master, in spite of the form presumably providing him with an advantage against multiple lightsabers. It should be noted, however, that Fisto's form is also weak against Makashi, and that she studied his style beforehand, but it's still a good feat:

“Your pleasure,” Kit hissed, and went at her. He was like fire, Ventress like smoke. The dance had substance but not form, a blur of light that seemed impossibly fast, unbelievably deadly. The two leapt and swerved, collided and bounced away. Single against double lightblades. Hands, knees, feet, all in a mind-numbing blur.

Obi-Wan would have given his right hand to join. Or even to watch such a display. But he had his own worries, his own battle to fight.

He struggled with the urge to simply draw his lightsaber and slaughter the X’Ting. His enemies came on and on, struck quickly but clumsily, got in each other’s way. Obi-Wan was direct in attack, and as elusive as a breeze.

He’d missed the engagement, but suddenly—Kit was down! Wounded and groggy from a kick in the jaw, for the first time Ventress had pierced his guard. Her left-hand saber sliced his arm but as sparks flew he dove away from her left blade, leaning into a glancing blow from her right.

-- The Cestus Deception

Ventress kills Jai Maruk:

Smoke curled up from Master Leem's belly. Still she stared at him. Don't, Jai.

Everything silent. Everything still.

Opening from the heart of stillness, a truth blossomed in Jai's chest: he was going to die.

He was going to die here. Now.

There would be no miraculous rescue. There would be no marvelous escape. They were both going to die, Ventress was going to kill them, and the question on Maks Leem's face was, Would he die as a Jedi, or would he spend the last seconds of his life giving in at last, forever, to the dark side?

Because that's where he was, right now. At the edges of this still place in his heart Jai could feel all his hatred. And despair, yes, that, too. The criminal waste of it, the horrible perversion that Ventress was going to win: it was all there, every reason he would ever need to admit the dark side was strongest. To give in.

There was the tiniest hesitation in his stroke. Maks Leem's body was being sucked into the hole cut into the floor. She couldn't look at Jai anymore, she was pouring the last of her strength into using the Force to seal the gap, to keep the station's air from running out. "I won't," Jai said. He couldn't hear himself. "I won't," he cried, and somehow he knew that Maks Leem, deaf and dying, heard him and was content.

Nobody would ever know how close Jai had come to giving in to the dark side.

Nobody but Maks would ever know he had resisted at the end. In a few minutes they would both be dead, and to the universe, his choice would make no difference at all.

To Jai Maruk, it meant everything.

For the next thirty seconds he fought more beautifully than he had in his life, and when Asajj finally cut him down, he was smiling.

...

She had to shake off a hard smack to the head before she could struggle to her feet. By that time, Master Leem seemed to be containing the breach, and Whie was far ahead, halfway to Asajj Ventress.

Scout had just started to run when Ventress killed Jai. Master Maruk had lifted his lightsaber to block a downward stroke from one of her blades; the other passed cleanly through half his chest in a scything cut that dropped him like a bundle of chopped burr millet.

Ventress contends with a group Jedi:

Ventress duels evenly with Plo Koon:

Ventress fights Luminara Unduli to a standstill, and then contends with her and Ashoka Tano simultaneously:

She holds her own against Savage Opress, and later in the duel, she briefly contends with Darth Maul, one of the most skilled warriors in Sith history:

Again, Ventress fights relatively evenly with Obi-Wan:

“This is between me and Ventress,” he screamed. Enough of this play! “Anyone who stands between us, dies. Translate it, Ventress!”

“Why?” She snarled.

“What?” he said scornfully. “Haven’t you learned what you wanted to learn? Seen what you wanted to see? What is the point in sending these children to their death? They only die because they trust you. Is there nothing left inside you? If not goodness, then loyalty?”

Her eyes flickered for a moment, and he knew that something he’d said had struck a nerve. She nodded. “Tell them to leave,” she said, and the protocol droid spat out its translation.

He covered the distance between them with a single somersaulting leap. Asajj Ventress was extraordinarily quick, but her very ferocity gave Obi-Wan a hairline opening, a moment when he had the better leverage. He blocked Ventress’s lightsabers, and managed to pin her blades down.

Ventress was surprised, but in the next moment disengaged her right-hand blade and slashed at his neck, attempting to behead him.

There was no time for conscious thought, no time for anything but response as Obi-Wan ducked and spun back. Ventress drew his attention to the left and leapt into the air in a spinning kick that slammed Obi-Wan down into the dock. Once down, he never had a chance to get up again, found himself fighting from his back, wiggling and edging backwards, movement so limited that he knew the confrontation might be over within seconds. The first touch of desperation wormed its way through his emotional shields.

Obi-Wan bared his teeth. As Master Yoda had often said these days, The dark side has clouded the Galaxy. Difficult to see, the future is.

Floating below the dock, Kit Fisto could still hardly move. He had barely evaded death from a lightsaber wound to the head, and his senses still were far away. But some deep instinct had warned him that his compatriot Obi-Wan was in trouble, fighting to protect both their lives. He woke up enough to reach for his lightsaber.

He triggered it, and sliced the pilings supporting the dock. Ventress howled in surprise as she and Obi-Wan tumbled into the water. Kit wanted desperately to help, but had exhausted his supply of strength. Surrendering to his wounds, he lost consciousness.

Obi-Wan had but a moment to snatch his rebreather and jam it into his mouth, and in the next instant realized that Ventress couldn’t! She clutched a lightsaber in each of her lethal hands!

He went at her savagely, never giving her a moment to sheathe one lightsaber, to slip in her own rebreather.

The Jedi Knight could move in three dimensions, attacking from under the water and from all angles, and Ventress’s desperate defense forced her to gulp air when her head cleared the water.

Nearing panic, Ventress dropped one of her lightsabers, and lunged at Obi-Wan, surprising him. She flipped back away, taking that moment to don her own rebreather.

Then, eyes burning with hatred, she came at him.

The two circled each other like some kind of aquatic predators, but both were out of their elements. The question was which would adapt most swiftly.

Lure her. Leave an opening for a stroke in the upper left. I will block more slowly, as she expects. Then I will flinch, as I did with the X’Ting, and she will think she’s aggravated an injury, and that I will back up. She saw me do it twice.

The water was murky, and he realized that he was wrong to trust his eyes. Stop. Defocus. Feel the water pressure as she makes her moves. Trust the Force.

Obi-Wan felt the water surge at him, and he let that surge carry him in its natural arc. His lightsaber flashed in, and for the first time, he cut her.

The wound was low on the ribs on her right side, and her eyes widened in pain and sudden fear.

Instead of moving back, Obi-Wan moved in. She butted him in the mouth, ripping out his rebreather. But the movement stunned her, and he tore hers out in the same instant.

So. There they were, the two of them, beneath the water. The first to bolt for the surface would be exposed and vulnerable. The first one to break loses.

Well, then, Ventress. Which of us can hold our breath longer?

This would be as good a place as any to die. If this was his end, how better than to take a creature like Ventress with him?

And she saw his face. Yes. Like Duris. I’m ready to die here and now, and for these reasons. I’m willing to die to kill you. Can you say the same?

In the same instant, Obi-Wan threw caution to the winds, and went at her. His blade was here, there, at all angles, and her wound slowed her…

She wielded her single remaining blade, eyes wide and staring.

Then something broke inside Ventress. She shrieked a mouthful of bubbles, and triggered something at her belt. The water around her churned into an expanding onyx cloud, as if she had emptied an ink-sack into it.

And in a flurry of bubbles and blackness, Asajj Ventress was gone.

-- The Cestus Deception

While amped by the dark side nexus of Dathomir, Ventress defeats TCW Grievous, who was wielding four lightsabers:

Despite being ambushed, she beats Krismo Sodi, who had previously defeated the other bounty hunters in her group, including Latts Razzi, C-21 Highsinger, and a teenager Boba Fett:

(Canon) Ventress outclasses a Falleen who was unpredictable and well versed in a variety of martial styles:

So intent on Yellow Tattoo was Ziton that he failed to notice the envoy until she was but a meter away. With an angry bellow, he exploded from his chair and met her head-on. He took a swing at her, but struck only air. Then he was stumbling backward, his head swimming and his jaw aching from a well-placed kick. One foot struck the base of his throne and he collapsed into it.

In the moment the woman took to whirl around and smash in the face of a guard who was getting too close, Ziton was up again and charging her. He was well versed in a variety of martial arts and expert in mixing styles up in such a way that his enemy could not anticipate what he might do next.

This one somehow did.

Almost as if the fight had been choreographed, she blocked his every blow, from the Strike of the Nexu to the Kick of the Bantha, with almost disinterested ease. The sounds of thuds and groans from his guards told him that her compatriot was easily handling three, probably four attackers at once. Who were these people?

As if she had tired of playing with him, the envoy ceased simply defending herself and moved in for the kill. Her punches and kicks became a blur, and panic started to rise in Ziton’s throat. Dodge—parry—block—strike—

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress briefly forces Dooku back:

Snarling, Ventress charged at Dooku, reveling in the strength of her muscles as she dealt strike after strike. Her old Master parried expertly, but she forced him back. He dodged to one side. Just as Ventress realized she had overextended, Dooku's left hand clamped down on her right wrist and he brought up his own lightsaber. It was Ventress's turn to seize his arm and hold the scarlet blade at bay.

(Canon) On Dathomir, she fights evenly with Quinlan Vos during a sparring match while holding back, though the latter was poisoned:

Her laughter, cold and cruel, chilled Vos more than the increasingly thick mist. He stepped forward, moving toward where he had last seen her, reaching out in the Force to try to locate her. His head was starting to clear, and irritation replaced confusion. Whatever she was doing, it wasn’t necessary, and it was starting to make him angry. They were wasting time in a foolish—

A second time, the hum of her lightsaber alerted Vos to Ventress’s presence, and he again whirled to parry her attack from behind. Her beautiful face was contorted in a snarl, and she came at him full force. Ventress rained blows upon him, not holding back, pushing in for the kill. Unwilling to harm her, Vos took one step back, then another, concentrating on blocking her attack. The damp air muffled the sizzle of lightsabers clashing in deadly earnest.

Still Ventress pressed the attack. Something inside Vos snapped. A furious cry escaped his lips and he moved onto the offensive. This time, it was she who was forced to give ground as he advanced on her, swinging his lightsaber so swiftly it was little more than a green blur. As she drew back to strike again, his hand shot forward and closed on her throat, his fingers digging into warm flesh, lifting her easily into the air and hurling her to the ground.

Ventress hit hard, sprawling with an utter lack of her usual controlled grace. She coughed, one hand massaging her throat. Vos found himself standing over her, lightsaber raised for the next blow, but instead a smile touched her lips.

“You see?” she said, her voice rough, the faint shadows of a bruise already starting to form on her pale throat. “Your anger has made you powerful!”

He lowered the lightsaber and switched it off. The red rage that had colored his thoughts was fading. So it really had been a test, and nothing more. Vos frowned. He did not like being toyed with.

But before he could say anything, Ventress had leapt to her feet and was again racing into the mist. What now? His lips pressed together in a tight line and he pursued. This game had gone far enough.

-- Dark Disciple

(Canon) Ventress successfully holds off a bloodlusted Quinlan Vos while holding back. Given that Vos was able to hold his own against Dooku, this is a very impressive feat, especially considering that Ventress didn't want to kill him:

With a snap-hiss, Tholme’s lightsaber sprang to life, and Vos charged.

Ventress was barely able to activate her own lightsaber and bring it up in time to prevent him from slicing her head off. Faster than she had ever seen him move before, even when she had pressed him on Dathomir, Vos twisted, and her blade slid off his. He rained blow after blow, his teeth bared in a snarl, forcing Ventress back down the corridor.

Vos had been a Jedi Master, and while she had defeated such before, the battle was never easily won. Now those skills were augmented by a dark side that had greedily feasted on his pain and rage. It seemed to her that his blows were effortless, and he did not tire.

Ventress had to reach him, somehow. Vos was drunk with this new power, unfettered, as she was, by the thought of striking a lethal blow. While she was only attempting to either knock him out or seize his lightsaber, he wanted her dead.

“You used me!” he shrieked. Left, right, left he struck, and she parried, feeling the jarring up her arm. Their blades sizzled, the two green blades striking sparks off each other.

“You came to me!” Ventress reminded him. “You asked for my help! The Council—”

Vos bellowed, springing back and shoving hard with his left hand. Ventress was hurled backward, slamming into the unforgiving stone wall.

“They all warned me you were out for yourself. And you were. You didn’t care about me at all!”

Her head was ringing, but Ventress got to her feet. She leapt toward Vos, landing behind him and kicking at the back of his knee. He hadn’t been expecting it and stumbled. She seized the arm that held the lightsaber and yanked it back, trying to force him to drop it.

“If that were true,” Ventress said, pleading, “if I didn’t care, then why am I here? Why did I risk my life to come back for you?”

For a moment a faint shadow of doubt flickered across his features, and he ceased struggling. Then his face grew hard. “Because you needed me. You hated Dooku, and when I came along, you took advantage of it. You couldn’t do it alone, but with me, you might have managed to kill your hated Master. I was never anything to you but a means to an end.”

The bitterness in his voice stabbed like a dagger. Her own eyes stung with tears. And in that moment, Ventress hated the dark side for what it—and Dooku’s torture—had done to this man.

“Vos, you were everything! This is the pain and the dark side speaking! This isn’t who you are!”

With a roar, Vos lunged forward, hurling Ventress over his head. He wrenched his arm free and whipped his lightsaber around. The tip grazed Ventress’s midsection as she tried to roll away, and she cried out in pain.

“It is who I am! It’s who I want to be! You gave me this cup, Ventress. You made me drink from it.”

It was the truth. She had pushed him, in the caverns. She had forced him to kill the Sleeper in cold blood. And it seemed he had learned that lesson all too well.

“But you can control it! You’re strong, Vos, stronger than it is! Don’t let it win. Let’s leave everything—Dooku, the Jedi, everything. We can go away together, just like we planned. Just you and me!”

“Run away with someone who lied to me?” The words were harsh, but Vos wasn’t fighting, wasn’t charging her. Even so, he held his lightsaber ready as he asked, “Why did you do it?”

Hope, nearly burned to ashes, surged within her at the anguish in his tone. For this moment, there was more pain than rage in him. And the pain might just listen to her.

Slowly, Ventress lowered her weapon. She was ready to defend herself, but Vos didn’t move to attack. She licked her lips, took a deep breath, and spoke.

“I did lie to you. And I lied to you because I was afraid.”

His eyes narrowed. “You’ve never been afraid of anything, Asajj Ventress.”

She shook her head. “You’re wrong. I was terrified.”

“Of what?” Vos scoffed.

“Of losing you.” She let the words hang there for a moment, and when Vos still appeared to be listening, she continued. “I’ve been lying for so long. It’s second nature to me. We learned to trust each other, but what I felt…I was so scared. I was afraid to tell you about Tholme because I thought you’d hate me. I’d only just learned how to trust and care about someone again, and I…I couldn’t bear the thought that if you really knew me, knew what I had done, you’d despise me.”

Her voice broke. Vos’s body posture eased. His eyes were glued to her face. “You should have trusted me,” he said softly.

Ventress nodded. “You’re right. I should have. And even if you had left me, I’d have done the right thing. But I was too afraid. I was wrong. I am so very, very sorry.”

Tears stung her eyes. Ventress let them fall. She had not wept since the slaughter of her sisters, and even then she had grieved in solitude. Never had Ventress spoken so to another living being, not even her beloved Jedi Master. She stood, her heart wide open, her soul naked before him. Surely, he would see it, even through the darkness that clouded his mind. Surely, he would understand what this meant. Quinlan Vos knew her in a way no one else ever had. He would see, and understand.

The yellow hue faded from his eyes and he blinked. “Asajj?” he whispered.

“I brought your lightsaber back to you,” she said. “Yours. I kept it safe for you, just like I did on Dathomir. Don’t let Dooku use Tholme to divide us. I wish I could, but I can’t change the past. I just want a future—with you.”

It was the wrong thing to say. Vos looked down at the blade he held, and his beloved face turned ugly with hatred. The awful yellow hue returned to his eyes as he looked back up at her.

“That,” Vos growled, “is the worst lie of all.”

Shattered, Ventress rolled out of the way as he leapt at her, bringing up her blade in a frantic parry as he forced her around the corner. She called his name, again and again, but Vos was now deaf to any plea she might utter. Ventress realized that he would not stop until he had killed her. And for one brief moment, she wanted him to. It would be easier than living without him, knowing that this was where she had unwittingly led him.

No. She would not give up. She would not let Dooku and the dark side have him.

With his fury-fueled attacks Vos forced her to retreat, back toward the exit, and Ventress let him do so. She understood now that he was too far gone to be talked into accompanying her willingly, but if she could bring the fight back out into the open, she might be able to maneuver him toward Fett and the others. The aid of even one of the bounty hunters might be enough to subdue Vos and drag him onto one of the ships.

Even though she retreated deliberately, Vos’s attack demanded every bit of her focus. He seemed to grow stronger, his attacks more powerful, while Ventress had to draw on everything she had simply to stay alive.

Vos barely even seemed to need to breathe, and he threw everything he had at the woman that, Ventress knew in her heart, he had once cared for so deeply. As they turned another corner, Ventress nearly stumbled over the debris of a battle droid she had torn apart but a few moments before. Vos shot out a hand. Several pieces of broken metal rose in the air. Grunting, Vos gestured, and they all launched themselves at Ventress.

She sliced a torso in half with her lightsaber, used the Force to deflect various limbs, and dived out of the path of two severed heads. Ventress landed on her feet and immediately brought up her weapon to deflect the blur of Tholme’s lightsaber. She used the Force to shove it and Vos back, and kept retreating.

It seemed like an eternity before Ventress saw that the dimness of the corridors was growing brighter. Hope surged in her as she realized that they were close to the exit. The emotion made her careless; she found herself suddenly lifted and flung backward out the door.

Ventress sailed through the air for several meters, landing hard and awkwardly, and for a wild moment was unable to rise. Then someone grabbed her arm and hauled her to her feet.

“Where’s your friend?” Fett demanded.

Ventress turned back to the doorway. Quinlan Vos stood there, his cruel face illuminated by the glow of a dead man’s lightsaber. Behind him followed a host of battle droids.

Ventress pointed at Vos. “There,” she said brokenly.

“That’s your friend?”

Suddenly Vos’s head whipped to the side. Following his gaze, Ventress saw something thoroughly unexpected—Count Dooku, trapped in some sort of webbing, lying on the ground with Bossk’s blaster aimed at his head.

--

“Yes, I think so…” With Kenobi’s help, Vos awkwardly got to his feet. His gaze was fixed on Ventress, and his smile faded at the look on her face. “Asajj?”

Vos moved toward her. She took a step back, narrowing her eyes. “I’m so sorry I attacked you. I had to.”

She scoffed. “Forgive me if I find that hard to believe.”

“You know Dooku.” Even speaking seemed to tire Vos. “He records everything. There were devices in my cell, and I had to let him think he’d turned me. But I—I couldn’t keep up the act.”

Again, Vos reached out for her. “He suspected I hadn’t turned and put me back here. He comes and tells me all the things that I’ve done as his ‘admiral.’ Ventress, I—”

“Stop it!” she shouted. “Kenobi—we’re too late!”

--

“And I suppose you’re all better now?”

“No.” It was the truth. Ventress could tell. Vos continued. “When you came back for me—it was right after I had held Tholme’s lightsaber.”

“Right after you experienced me murdering him.” Ventress stated it bluntly.

He nodded. “I was reeling. I’d been starved, beaten, deprived of sleep, injected with things that…Asajj, you were my anchor. Thoughts of you, of us, kept me sane. But when I felt Tholme—” Vos couldn’t bring himself to say the word. “After that, I thought that everything between us had been a lie. So yes, I let the dark side in. And that’s what you saw in my eyes.”

Vos again looked down into his glass. Slowly, Ventress resumed her seat and waited.

“For a while, I admit it, I did help Dooku. But then I began to understand what it must have been like for you as his apprentice; the kind of lessons you were learning from him. He was trying to teach me those same lessons. But you decided you didn’t want to be like him. And…I wasn’t angry at you anymore.”

“Just like that? You saw and felt me gut a man who had surrendered to me—the Jedi who was your beloved Master—and then suddenly it’s all right?”

Ah, bon. This is absolutely required. I wanted to make this thread but I'll just help you along with this. @i_like_swords You said you wanted to learn about Ventress. This should be an ideal area for that.

@zapan87 You should make GIFs of some of her fights in TCW, where she displays good speed/agility and I doubt that instance was Stun. It looked like she was using TK to lift him him up and immobilize him. If it were Stasis, he wouldn't have been able to speak, but he did manage to gurgle.

On the other hand, you should add her beating Kit/Obi-Wan in The Cestus Deception. Yes, she had advantages, but given how formidable her foes were, it's still a good showing. Do you want me to provide you with the quote?

@shootingnova Any help would be great, and unlike for Vader, I don't have the quotes for Ventress feats ready. Quotes from Yoda: Dark Rendezvous and accolades in general would also be welcome.

@shootingnova What about her feats from Obsession (didn't read it yet)? Are they canon? I read on Wookiepedia that it was retconned.

@zapan87: They should be canon. Only the retconned part is non-canon (thanks to TCW, which took Adi Gallia from being killed by Grievous and had Savage kill her instead).

These are good showings of speed and martial arts. I'll have some quotes from Yoda: Dark Rendezvous soon enough.

EDIT: She also had a nice Concealment feat back in the OCW where she enters an arena and kills Dooku's host without any noise (and without our noticing). Obviously Dooku sensed it, but given how powerful he is it's not something to deride.

@zapan87: Here's one for Ventress where Jai Maruk muses that she's better than him in everything, including speed, precision and power and subtlety with the Force, and better at understanding skills and weaknesses and natures:

You both also forgot the first part of Ventress' and Obi-wan's encounter when she nearly k.oed Kenobi with a kick.

@zapan87: Here she kills Jai Maruk:

@zapan87: There's nothing confirming that, though, and there is a point where he looks truly perplexed as to what to do next. Seemed like he was testing Ventress to see if Sidious thought she was worthy. And given the fight she was able to give Mace Windu, it makes sense that she could provide a similar challenge to Dooku.

It's an accolade nevertheless.

And here's some more stuff I digged out on Ventress.

Asajj is a force to be reckoned with:

Asajj Ventress was a force to be reckoned with, wielding the signature twin curve-handled lightsabers presented to her by Count Dooku after he recruited her to the Separatist cause on the planet Ratatak.

@zapan871: Asajj Ventress manages to briefly drive back Count Dooku in a saber duel, until Dooku forces her to overextend herself:

Snarling, Ventress charged at Dooku, reveling in the strength of her muscles as she dealt strike after strike. Her old Master parried expertly, but she forced him back. He dodged to one side. Just as Ventress realized she had overextended, Dooku's left hand clamped down on her right wrist and he brought up his own lightsaber. It was Ventress's turn to seize his arm and hold the scarlet blade at bay.

Dark Disciple

An injured Ventress survives a massive drop, then getting thrown around by Grievous:

Ventress's lightsaber flew out of her hand as she and Grievous plunged downward. She struck the ledge of a lower level hard, her head hanging over the edge. Grievous was atop her, his slitted golden eyes hungry for blood as he growled down at her, his foot on her throat. He seized her with his four hands and hurled her down to the level below them. She slammed against the wall beside one of the elegant windows and crumpled to the ledge.

She was taking a bad beating, she realized in some distant part of her mind. The earlier blow to her skull should have killed her.

Asajj toys with Rhed Tarn, a promising and talented padawan:

Asajj defeats K'kruhk(note that most of the fight is off-panel so technically K'ruhk did hold his own for a decent period of time before falling):

Asajj manages to hold off Savage Opress in a bladelock where he had increased momentum from a leap and an overhand chop; essentially, she fends off the blow of a monsterously strong combatant who had superior leverage than she did:

@zapan871: There's some awesome stuff for Asajj in Valsedian Operation. She chokes a Gamorrean, then hurls him so hard it breaks metal:

Asajj essentially ragdolls Keelyvine Reus (now one of my fav Jedi, tbh) an extremely powerful Jedi Master capable of hurling aside Hutts while injured:

Asajj easily throws a Hutt at Reus:

Asajj stalemates Keelyvine Reus, who is obviously extremely talented given her ability to go toe-to-toe with someone like Asajj, and Reus has also been trained by Dooku(non-formally):

In Crash Course, Asajj easily dispatches Ahsoka Tano with TK:

@zapan871: Feats for Reus? I'm making an RT for her, and she's pretty decent so far. TK wise, she only really has the hurling the Hutt aside while injured thing. :mmm: Also, remember those UK magazines that feature comics? Well, one of the comics has Asajj Ventress contending with Mace Windu:

Now granted, the fight is brief and inconclusive since it ends with the deck shifting and Asajj fleeing, but most of the fight is actually off-panel and takes place over the course of a lengthy dialogue of Padme and C3PO, and Yoda's monologue. And from their bladelocks, we see Mace is having a bit of trouble. Hehe. :)

@wollfmyth209: Ah, thanks, and Ventress did better than on Ruul. This is an impressive feat, especially if they did fight off-panel, and it's also good for Dooku, given that he is better than Ventress, so it certainly lends credence to the idea he is Mace's equal with a blade, if there was any doubt. Any idea on when this happened?

@zapan871: Sadly, no. I think it was 21 BBY or something. Also, given Dooku had less trouble than Mace did against Asajj, it infers Tyranus' superiority. ;)

I'll keep looking through these to find some moar feats.

Holy fuck, can we stop the cancer of suggesting Ventress is comparable to Windu? It's cringey and retarded.

@emperordmb: Suggesting? It's a clearly shown feat, especially in the scans Wollf posted, which have Mace grunting at times. That's an indication of difficulty.
