I saw an Armored Core battle thread the other day, which made me want to make a thread to ACs! What Armored Core games have you guys played, how'd you get into the game series, and do you still play online in Verdict Day?
The last Armored Core game I played was Masters of the Arena back on PS2. I loved it, but I couldn't afford to keep up with consoles and new games so I sort of fell off the map with it.
Cool you enjoyed Masters of the Arena. I hope you can play some of the new games sometime. I need to play some of the older games as well. I haven't played before 3 yet.
Masters of the Arena was fun. Especially once you beat it and got to the "game designer" AC's where they broke all the rules like moving while using mount guns (like laser cannons you had to kneel to use and they used while running and boosting). It was such a pain sometimes, but I liked the 1v1 mech battle aspect.
@jasonhawke: Oh okay. You don't have to answer if you don't want to. xD; I used to play ACV every night in free battles(for nearly a year, I don't want to think about how many hours I put into that game D:) Xbox side, so I was just curious. The xbox and ps3 game communities were pretty different as well, so I always like hearing about ps3 side as well.
My favorite version was AC 3: silent line, with AC2 being the first one that I played. I loved building my own mech and fighting my friends in split screen.
