Are there a lot of crossover events in the New 52 DC comics?

I'm really loving Scott Snyder's main Batman series in the New 52 and I'm thinking about buying all the trade paperbacks so I can get caught up to the latest one and collect them regularly....but, before I get too hasty, I need to know: does DC have as many crossovers as Marvel or will I be able to read my Batman series without worrying about it being interrupted by event after event?

DC has a lot less company-wide crossovers than Marvel.

Also most of the new 52 crossovers have been strictly to family book wide crossovers and other than the anual tie in month's the only company wide crossover was durring forever evil if you count that as a crossover

Only if you're trying to keep up with the Lantern story.

@benk111: even Forever Evil wasn't company wide, as far as I saw it only took team titles, Green Arrow was unaffected, not sure how many others weren't
