Are The Watchowskis Grant Morrison ripoffs?

So, i was watching Sense8 ( which is a really good show ), and i thought the premise reminded me a lot of Multiversity. Different "worlds" establishing contact with each other, and helping each other with defeating respective enemies. then i noticed the 8 theme, which is heavily featured in Multiversity. And then i recollected how The Matrix has been accused of stealing from The Invisibles. Another Wachowski creation. Am i seeing connections because i want to or are the Wachowskis shameless Morrison fans? Does anyone else have information to back up my observation? Let me know
