A) Does it matter?
B) Why bring it up?
I felt that the way the fight played out was pretty much perfect, and honored both characters regardless of the outcome... so I really don't see why even the most die hard DBZ fans would be that upset.

Trust me all my friends still talking crap about Superman even though he won if Goku won they would be all up my face at least one of my friends admit that he never knew Superman was that strong cause he never read a comic in his life.

QFT. In the end they made both sound triumphant even though supes won.

Fair enough... I can't argue with that.
I like Goku more than Superman, but my computer can't even run a 3 min video, let alone a Death Battle.
Batman stomps both of them, anyways.

And to tell you the truth I was a big Goku fan when I was in my high school days never gave a comic a chance always in my head that I thought Goku was the all mighty until I gave the new 52 a chance and gave Superman a chance and then I start reading some of his old comics and I was like wow he was really strong.
Yes. They are mostly in denial. His IQ is that of a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, has trouble lifting a building in ssj4 and almost burnt out completely when he tried to save the intersection of that street from collapsing. He didn't lift a city, watch that scene again and look in the background, those streets behind him are motionless. All he did was lift a very small corner of one city block and he struggled to do it.
Epic Denial.
@CODYSF: No we are not... im very pleased with the battle it was very unbiased and well thought. I always found it strange that just because i like Goku he HAS to be strongest... Cleary Superman is stronger.
On another note, a lot of idiot fanboys are in denial...
And honestly; people who actually hate Superman and thinks he is weak compared to Goku are 85% of the times people who have never read a comic book, and 95 % of people who think Goku is the strongest character ever created have only seen the DBZ anime without any other knowlegde about other superheroes.
I thought the fight was very unbiased and did justice to both characters and I was pleased with the way the battle went down. I always thought it would be an epic fight that pushed both to their limits regardless of the victor. (side note: I always sided with Superman in this debate though)

No, Goku did go SSJ4 in the video, and he was still all kinds of outclassed.
I think all we can honestly say is that this battle would be close.
Who would win? IDK. This is too close to count and you can't always rely on numbers.

umm...no. The battle was never close. Can't rely on numbers? So what you are saying is that someone stated to fly a few dozen times light speed is not as fast as someone who can only burst speed at 2x light speed? Or that someone who can bench a planet for 7 days is not as strong as someone who cannot lift a building? Seriously...the denial around this debate is just so funny.
I don't even really understand the complaints. I'm not good at math, but even for those who are DBZ powers are hard to calculate. They can blow up planets, absolutely, but how much more is unknown. Screw Attack acknowledged that and went by things they have actually shown. They didn't low ball, so no Superman getting knocked out by something really weak, no Goku being cut by glass, or being hit in the head with a rock... they went by the highest feats shown by each character. They basically said it came down to strength, speed, and durability, and there's no evidence that Goku's strength and durability are even on Superman's level. There is however, evidence supporting he's not on his level. I mean Goku is not weak by any means... I mean even if he can only lift 160,000 tons, l have to ask this...
Can you do that?
DBZ is one of the worst anime made. Just die and get stronger everytime with continuous stronger opponents and that's all.
Very little character development and you can wrap the story around collecting the dragonballs and revive family, friends or the whole world.
No twist in the storys, no suprises in fights: Good and bad guy fight, bad guy wins, good guy revives, good and bad guy fight(again), good guy wins etc, etc.
It was fun when i was 8 years old but now it's just blah.
Look, these two characters have such inconsistent portayals of their strength, speed, and durability that the basic idea of "who would win a fight" is completely meaningless. The extent of their abilities is ENTIRELY subject to the writer's whims at any given moment.
Dragonball seemed to have at least a semblance of power-level consistency in the early goings, but that was quickly tossed aside and made pointless, and Superman's powers are all over the place since his very inception. I can understand the appeal of hypothetical conflicts with fictional characters, but only when their attributes are known to be consistent. Otherwise, what's the point?

Exactly, its never been close. And thats the thing about this discussion, it becomes immediately clear that anyone who is saying Goku wins havent read any thing about Superman.
Who cares? Screw Attacks opinions isn't fact.
Who cares?
Seriously? Goku losing does that make him a less enjoyable character?
If Superman lost, would he no longer be your favorite?
The stupid concept of "MY HERO CAN BEAT UP YOUR HERO!!!111" is childish and mundane and does nothing to further the character's development. It exists simply to be a point of argument among people. There's no true literary value in them.

this. Remember Peach vs Zelda? I like the show, but honestly they look at every minor thing and count it as an actual feat(a perfect example is Peach).

Did you actually see the video? They were really, really good at picking actual feats, and describing exactly what could NOT be counted as feats.

Yes I did, but that is besides the point. I personally find feats in Mario sports games as non canon, which is one of the rules of Death Battle being not using non canon feats.
I am a goku fan as well as a superman fan. I admit that seeing goku lose stung a little, but it makes sense. Goku's always about overcoming limits, and superman doesn't really have any. Besides, any dragonball fan worth his senzu beans knows that goku would be content with losing, it would inspire him to go train him some more. Personally, I think that a fight between goku and superman really symbolizes manga vs comics, the hardcore manga fans (even the ones who hate Dragonball Z because it's too "americanized") and hardcore comic fans just keep butting heads over and over. Its really stupid, and it needs to stop, there are several who like both.

Are we still talking about the Peach vs Zelda battle? I havent seen that one, so i dont know... But i didnt see them using any feats in the Supes vs Goku battle that wasnt ''feats'', i thought they were very accurate in describing their power sets.
160,000 tons seems a bit off, but if the numbers and math dont lie then i accept it. EXAGGERATION BALL Z...but I grew up loving both dbz and superman related media so it hurt to see Goku beaten, but it was no surprise to me. Goku is not Superman and was never intended to be and I love the way they described it. Nailed that right on the head. Goku struggles physically do accomplish things, Superman doesn't. He is as strong as he needs to be.
SSJ4 Gogeta is nowhere near Supermans level in the current era. Hell, Smallville clark pushed that planet out of the galaxy most likely in a few minutes if not quicker, and flew fast enough around a nuclear explosion to contain it all...just by FLYING in circles. Seriously, Goku never stood a chance.
I found it funny (but not surprising) that if you look at the comments on Screw Attack's page, all the DBZ fans are instantly saying it was "unfair" cause Superman was acting out of character by letting the Earth blow up, and instead he should have taken the hit to save the Earth. Basically, they were saying Goku would have won...if Superman didn't fight back T_T
Although to be fair, Goku was acting out of character by aiming a Kamehameha at the Lexcorp building...

A lot of the people in the site barely know what Superman really could do.
Screw Attack is a lame source.
A GODDAMN PONY BEAT STARSCREAM.
Probably, at least they got it right though, Superman is out of Goku's league.
