Like I was wondering, are they?
Are marvel studio films aimed at kids?
They're aimed at teenagers.
Family friendly. Something both kids and adults can appreciate.

Actually this.
Like people have said, no it's just family friendly. They do worry about it being appropriate for kids. Definitely not specifically aimed at kids though

@heatblaze123: watch Tom hiddleston and RDJ Avengers interview
@heatblaze123: watch Tom hiddleston and RDJ Avengers interview
I watched the video.They didn't say it was for kids. Link it
If Loki stabbing phil coulson behind the back with his staff, then visualizing his blood on his cards are aimed at kids. Then...that's foolish.
in the Lion King Scar killed his brother, in 101 Dalmatians she was going to kill puppies, bad things can still happen in kids movies
@heatblaze123: you see Scar toss him off the ledge, and Simba trying to wake him up
I think adults in their 20s and 30s are more excited about all of the Marvel stuff in theaters and on television than anyone else. That should be the target audience. I have an 8 year old son, he has watched the movies...but doesn't beg for rewatches like he does other stuff. My wife is trying to wear all of the discs out. The people at my comic shop are mostly grown men and are talking about the movies and shows frequently.
@heatblaze123: what's the point if you watched te video. You clearly ignored the part where RDJ says "this is who it's for, it's for the kids" and Tom agrees with him. Not to mention it was RDJ who said F*** DC because of how mature The Dark Knight was.
@heatblaze123: why do Marvel fans get so defensive about this? Yes, the movies are kids' movies that adults can enjoy.
Pixar movies are the same; it doesn't make you childish if you enjoy them, they are supposed to be made with enough gravitas to keep adults entertained.
@kfabz-23: Because I don't know what video you're talking about because the one I watched didn't say it.
@superguy1591 You don't know what kids movies are if you consider any of the MCU films as such.
Big hero 6 is a kids film, Avengers is not.
It's a Marketing strategy Disney avidly and aggressively follow,,,same like other co. Because a kid will never go to see movie alone...so more kids more ticket sale..
no I don't think they are on the same level as pixar films, how many children movies have swearing unless kids are swearing nowadays.
Would say they are aimed for a Family Film so parents can watch with their children without worrying about content or getting bored themselves.
Though I don't what it to be totally dark and gritty, the childish, immature, and forced joke nature of the film sometimes gets on my nerves.
@eyedcyou: Hey, haven't seen you in a while :)

This. Their money maker is in the young adult audience.
@eyedcyou: Hey! You're back!
@mandarinestro: @captainmarvel4ever: I have returned for trailer talk stuff.
Yes.
Family Friendly is code for a kids movie that adults will enjoy.
How? ALL their movies have been PG-13 with intense action and swearing. Sure, they aren't the darkest films, but they're more of adult movies that kids can enjoy than kid films that adults can enjoy.
I will say that AoU looks darker than usual, which I like.
