Are capes cool?

Some people know how to rock a cape.......

They are only for some characters.

They can be, Dr. Doom, Spawn and Batman know how to rock the cape.

Superman's cape is iconic, so it's ok.

Shazam, Martian Manhunter, Thor and Robin shouldn't have a cape, they look ridiculous with one.

They're a safety hazard

Capes are okay sometimes, characters without capes look cooler.

I heard saving the world from super-villains on a regular basis was pretty hazardous too :p

There are a few instances where a cape is perfect.

Earth 2's Green Lantern costume would look 100% better with a cape

you don't want every body wearing capes, then they become lame. some with but more without. batman's cape is also a tool more than looking cool, so that isn't really hazardous.

Depends on who's wearing it. Flying characters and dramatic villains do it best.

if they have a function like Shroud's or Batman's than they are cool. Very rarely do I find capes cool outside some of the characters already mentioned

they're cool, but they're pretty useless a lot of the times. Batman's on of the very few characters that actually have a use for capes. They look awesome on certain characters. Usually it's for characters who fly and are either majestic or dark. Acrobatic heroes like Nightwing and Spider-Man would look terrible in one

Capes rock! Although some costumes are better without them for sure. (Spider-Man comes to mind)

Well I was only gonna mention Thor and Hyperion.

I'm a big fan of the half cape..... If I had to sport a cape it would be the half cape..... Tattered capes aren't bad ether.

Capes are cool. I like when heros actually use them like batman

They're cool on characters who are extremely powerful. To me, probably from Superman, capes seem to accentuate one's power. Batman is really the only character I can think of who isn't very powerful, yet has a cape and it works.

Doom, Thor, Superman, Magneto... all superpowerful dudes, capes work for all. Also, none of them are really stealthy guys, or hand-to-hand guys. Again, other than Batman, it doesn't really work on those types.

If Wolverine, Spider-Man, or Captain America had capes, it would look ridiculous. I remember the Batman/Wolverine Amalgam 'Dark Claw', and I thought the cape was just goofy, It looked like it would get in the way of his claws. Punisher would probably be able to pull it off only because of the batman symmetry.

If it's something similar to what Spawn has, then yes. But I still prefer the Iron Man look more.

I've always like captain marvels cape.

I like capes only if its attached to a hood like Robin from Arkham city or Raven.
