So how exactly did Vision lift Thor's hammer? Has he done this in the comics? This scene was pretty cool, I was in no way expecting this although the previous scene of everyone trying to lift the hammer basically foreshadowed someone lifting it, I just didn't know Vision was capable of doing so.
AOU Thor's Hammer *Spoilers*
Idk maybe because he's a robot
Or because he has the mind gem which is infinitely more powerful than mjlonir
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: this is what I assumed too. Sounds logical
@perethorn: I didn't think about that. Very true
Well a coat hanger held Mjolnir in THOR.
That being said, if you have a soul you have to be "worthy" but since Androids and coat hangers do not have souls and do not have an understanding
So if you are a coat hanger or a android you can lift Thor's hammer.
That being said, if you have a soul you have to be "worthy" but since Androids and coat hangers do not have souls and do not need to strive towards being "worthy" since they have no soul, they are able to lift it.
Because he's worthy.
not gonna lie alot of the movie made me wtf.

they were joking about it at the end of the movie. Cap said but what if you put the hammer in an elevator and the elevator lifts it that an elevator isnt worthy but can still lift it. So inanimate objects can lift it.
Oh you Americans just got AOU today? I love being Irish! He lifted it because his mind wasn't corrupted in any way,

Get off comic vine, I want my Guinness.
@citizensentry: Get off your chair, you obese American!

I'm English.
@citizensentry: OH BEHAVE!
The movie made it pretty clear that Vision lifted it because he was worthy, because his mind wasn´t corrupted in any way, that´s why Thor immediately did trust him.

He was able to lift it because of his moral character. It's not a feat of strength or because he's an inanimate object. Morally, he is worthy. Cap is close but hasn't quite reached his moral peak, hence why he could only slightly move it
The real question we should be asking is if an elevator is worthy enough to move up with Thor's hammer sitting inside.
I think it's because of the Gem....could be they turned Vision into some form of Beta Ray Bill...
