Anyone noticed the hate Avengers is getting?

And mostly from DC fanboys.

They say the movie was stupid, shallow and childish, while considering MoS a masterpiece.

I haven't seen anyone call MoS a masterpiece. What I have noticed though is a lot of people starting threads trying to start up fan boy wars.

True, Man Of Steel was a masterpiece . Avengers movie was terrible

Both were fun. Neither was a masterpiece. But for what it was Avengers was the perfect comic movie.

What I find funny is people complain about movies and shows for doing exactly what the comics do.

"Oh Oliver sleeps with anyone he isn't related too" I'm like, "you mean like in the comics?"

"Why doesn't Flash just take out Cold or Heatwave. Why talk to them?" I'm like,"for the same reason he doesn't in the comics."

Both were okay. Neither was really that amazing

what it's April Fool once again...I am one of those DC fanboys...But anybody thinks MOS is better than Avengers they are fooling themselves...The Dark Knight and The Avengers are the greatest CBM ever in history so far...

@leatherface003: The first two Spider-Man films, the Hellboy films, Watchmen, the first Sin City (second was not so great), and others like Blade are up there. I'm sure some have just slipped your mind though. I disagree with a lot of your ratings as well. That's just not a very good list sorry. It's ok though they are just opinions anyway.

Both movies pale in comparison to 1997 Batman and Robin. Best superhero movie ever. George Clooney is the best Batman that has been and will be!

yeah completely forgot about Spiderman 1 and 2..I hated TASM,, both of them and watchmen...Watch men and Spiderman 1,2 are really awesome movies...kudos to that...But every time people say CBM my mind goes to current movie universe....about my list it's just my opinion....I know most people don't agree but I just how I felt....

It was shallow compared to other comic based movies, childish? yeah a bit. Neither was a masterpiece but mos was a better movie ( still not very good ).

I prefer MoS, but it's definently not a masterpiece. Avengers isn't terrible, just a bit overrated. My favorite Marvel movies are CA:tWS and GotG. Avengers might be better from a pure comic book movie standpoint. That's what started the Arms Race which we will al benefit from, and it was still incredibly enjoyable. It had all the elements of what works for a team movie.

I don't hate it. I just don't think it's the Holy Grail of CBMs that some make it out to be.

Also, neither are masterpieces. ..TDK is a masterpiece.

Avengers is ovverated. Doesn't mean its not good. I prefer more serious comic book films that don't make a oneliner every other second and a more complex plot. That doesn't means Avengers was bad. Just means I prefer what DC did with Mos and that is Prer X-men Days Of Future Past over Avengers

I don't think it's terrible, but I find myself enjoying it less with each repeat viewing.

Avengers is the better movie though I don't exactly care for the Avengers when placed up with all of the other Marvel heroes.

DC doesn't have anything like Avengers yet.

Eh...Avengers was overrated and MOS was under appreciated but MOS had notable flaws.

@i_am_lightning: Man of Steel was a well made film, that being said have to say i enjoyed the Avengers and thought that was a good film. Preferred it to Man of Steel to be honest. No idea why people feel the need to choose between DC & Marvel. Just read& watch what sounds good.

I didn't like either film.

For me, Avengers has gotten worse the more I think about it and the more I see it. It's not a bad movie, but it is not the best MCU movie, nor is it close to being the best CBM.

Well, you know those diehard DC "The Dark Knight Is The Best CBM Ever" fanboys. I'm not saying that I hate TDK and/or Batman; I do love the movie...I do think that TDK has been overrated a tad much due to those fanboys.

Besides, The Avengers is a little better than TDK IMHO. And while I don't think that Man Of Steel is a masterpiece, I do think that MoS is more enjoyable than Superman Returns, that's for sure.

When I saw it the first time I did think it was awesome. In fact I had it in 2nd place as my favotie comicbook movie behind The Dark Knight. The Watchmen is my 3rd favorite. But yea, Avengers isnt one of those movies one can watch over and over. Since first watching it ive movied it down to my 5th favorite CMB behind Iron Man part 1.

Avengers movie sucked big time

Neither movie is a masterpiece, but I have more fun watching the Avengers than I do watching Man of Steel. I guess I have more favorite moments in Avengers than I do in Man of Steel is the bottom line for me, even tho I really enjoy both films.

Most films thing that reach that level of popularity eventually experience backlash and cries of "overrated...ness": Avatar, Titanic, Frozen, Avengers. etc

Avengers isn't even in the top 10 comic book movies list IMO. The villain was non existent not a threat at all, for that reason alone MOS, DOFP, TDK, CAP 2 are all better than it.
