Overused effets, practical or not, and sped up action scenes made this a boring chase without suspence or someone to root for. No?
Anyone else think Mad Max: Fury Road was meh?
never saw it
its one of those movies tht look so ridicously bad, that its "good"
those movies are garbage to me

"Here's my review of the film i didn't see!"
@havenless: didnt need to see "Machete kills" to know it was poop

Machete Kills and Mad Max Fury Road are not even in the same universe quality wise.
@eyedcyou: it just seems like its an extreme action fest thats there to make you laugh
@spider-manwins: Machete is a parody of an action movie. It started out as a fake trailer in a Tarantino episode. Mad Max is pure action, but that's what it's supposed to be. It's bad ass. Just like the original trilogy.
@eyedcyou: idk, it just seemed cheesy when i saw the trailer in theaters
" a man reduced to one instinct, survive"
That along with people riding on weird vehicles, and using the guitar on it..
There were guitar flamethrowers, insane explosiong every 3 seconds, and then concert bands on buses
@spider-manwins: Well that's what Mad Max is haha. The old ones were like that too.
Just say this article, this is right up @frozen 's alley

About how feminists where consulted for the movie.
Looks like you are the only one on this one op.
OP needs to give some in-depth reasoning to support his claim. I've seen plenty of movies where they were highly rated and I didn't see anything esspecially interesting to me or had too many faults, which is why I'm often skeptical when reading comments saying "omGG this was the best movee evar1!!!"
What 'exactly' made it meh?
@dr_harlequin: Well like you said it wasn't interesting, the chase starts immediately and it's just that with some forced attempts of plot here and there. There's no suspense in watching the good guys win the chase for the 5th time against a bunch of bad guys who aren't doing or saying anything frightening to make you feel they're dangerous, action scenes are sped up or cut to the point you can't tell what's going on and for all the practical effects and stunts most of the things happening are extremely ridiculous and unreal.
@spider-manwins: Well that's what Mad Max is haha. The old ones were like that too.
Uhh... no

Obviously not to the extent of the new film, but they were still about weird people and cars primarily.
@eyedcyou: That's why it wasn't interesting, it's a world where people kill each other for gas and some guy is posing with his flamethrower guitar on top of a truck full off speakers? Wez would kill that guy to fill his bike.
@dimitridkatsis: Miller wanted this one to be more theatrical. The bad guys from Fury Road (I can't think of their name) were probably some of the richest people on the planet in terms of resources. They had gas to blow to make sure they always had a song going during their war parties.
@eyedcyou: Seriously? That doesn't sound stupid to you?

Not in that universe haha. Everyone's insane.
