Anyone else catch the Dr. Strange name drop? (CAWS)

So I just got back from seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier (loved it OMFG), and noticed a HUGE name drop in the middle of the movie. When Cap, Falcon, and Black Widow are interrogating Sitwell on the roof, Sitwell talks about people who are threats to Hydra. He mentions Bruce Banner, and...wait for it...STEPHEN STRANGE! So whaddya think? Sounds like a Dr. Strange movie is pretty imminent.

Oh and what did you think of the movie if you've seen it? Planning on seeing it over the weekend? Thanks to this site I felt like I was seeing it waaaaaay late even though I caught the first showing on opening day at the local theater. Damn you overseas mofos. You think a movie featuring a character who is literally named after a certain country would be available in said country before anywhere else. Lol.

@rebel_leader1: Keep your ears open! I ruined the rest of the scene for the people around me because I was fangasming and going on about a Dr. Strange movie. Lol.

Yup! Had a brief fangirl moment.

I saw it last night. One of the best MCU movies so far, no doubt.

Even when I was well focused, was unable to catch it

It was hard to miss (for me at least).

But my big fanboy moment had to be "Bucky?" "Who the hell is Bucky?"

Oh! Another cool Easter Egg I loved was Sam Jackson's bible quote from Pulp Fiction on Fury's grave. "The path of the righteous man..."

I did and It made me so happy, It reminds me that marvel will put out a dr.Strange movie!

That was one of the few things I laughed at in this movie. It seems like the least humorous of the MCU so far.

@xwraith: Yeah, the humor was just right. Short little infrequent quips with little nods here and there.

I heard it, and it was magical.

Like the first Iron Man, the humor was very well balanced, not over the top like the later Marvel films, it's why Winter Soldier is now my second fav Marvel film besides Iron Man. It is a serious thing that's going on, and it should be treated as such.

there was a lot of name drops, two post credit scenes. And I am not sure but there were probably tons of easter eggs and cameos during the Helicarrier targeting scene

And the end scene for me i joygasasmed all over the place, only thing is I went with my gf who knew nothing and didn't appreciate name drops or that end scene. And they managed to make batroc the leaper not so fruity.

@w0nd: I was surprised how badass they made Batroc. I missed his Dick van Dyke goateestache though. Lol.

Batroc, Falcon, and Crossbones all need some more attention next time around. Loved them in the small doses that we got.

@wolverine08: I think we got the perfect amount of Falcon. More than I expected. He was sooooo BA! I wish comic Falcon would be more like MCU Falcon.

@w0nd: I didn't realize it was Crossbones either until after I got back from the movie. His appearances in the recent Deadpool comics were great!

Yeah, Anthony Mackie absolutely killed it. It was pretty awesome to see a black character be so great without feeling forced whatsoever. Comic Falcon could probably get a solo if he was half as cool as his movie counterpart. Lol.

Batroc and Crossbones both have great amounts of potential for further use in the MCU IMO. Would really like to see Brock come back in Captain America 3 with his signature mask.

@judasnixon: That's because they only tell us her name was Sharon at the end when Cap asks Black Widow.

However, she did announce herself as Agent 13 when she ran into Cap's apartment.

Right when Bucky's mask fell off and Steve saw his face for the first time I was hoping he would quote that line...AND THEN HE DID!!! ^__^ Loved it.

Yeah, when she appeared as Steve's "neighbor" at the beginning I was wondering if they had pulled a Jane Foster and changed her origins up. But thankfully they kept her as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. It seemed like they were setting her up as a possible love interest for Steve in a third installment.

Who would ever thought a movie could make this characters look cool?

Fury said his name because he was taken a pill to fake his death and Bruce Banner used it before so Bruce stop the transformation of Hulk .

It was awesome to hear the name drops, though I want to know what they all were. He goes:

"Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, ..., a valedictorian at his high school, Stephen strange..." and I figure the valedictorian is supposed to be peter parker (but they can't say that because Sony owns spider-man rights, same reason they can't say mutants), but he said others, and I don't know who they were, but I want to.

I also want a Dr. Strange movie XD

It definitely made me giddy. Since he's considered a threat to Hydra it must mean he's already Sorcerer Supreme by the time Winter Solider comes out and he's either run into Hydra sometime afterwards or he's affiliated with people to S.H.I.E.L.D. like Fury or Hill

Hell yeah I caught the Stephen Strange name drop. Goddamn, I love this movie. I've already seen it twice.

I have incredible memory, and will sometimes go years without seeing a movie again. The only movie I saw in the theaters multiple times (it was either 2 or 3 times) was The Avengers, and the first time was in 3D so I had a logical reason to see it in 2D.

I would go see this movie 5 times easily.

The only reason that someone could miss it is if they weren't paying attention, in which case, they deserve to miss it :p

Basically this. My mom was able to get there was a reference even though she doesn't know who Dr Strange is.

I wasn't looking for it, but I definitely heard that reference. Now I'm really excited at the prospect of having Strange in the MCU.

The movie was fantastic. One of, if not the, best MCU movie thus far.

I saw it and was figuratively jumping up and down from excitement!!! Dr. Strange movie, here we come!!

Also, guys… How bout that mid-credits scene? I knew to expect something fangasm-y, but I was not expecting that. Now I think it's safe to say, from my muffled screams in the theater, that I am now officially on board the Age of Ultron train. All aboard!

It was hard to miss....but does anyone remember how Winter Soldier ripped through that van with his knife trying to kill Cap or how Peggy has Alzheimer's :(
