I wish I were, I would like it to be more prominent, but with H'el on Earth, Rise of the Third Army, & Death of the Family - I don't know how important this will be.
I know I am in the minority, but I'd like to see aquaman become a (temporary) villain , if just to prove his ability to match the JL
@briangsharon: LOL! That's brutal, it's almost like matching Superman against the JL. Aquaman is a beast, especially with his trident that seems to be the key look to making him more of a king of the seven seas. In my eyes, he almost compares to the abilities Superman's capable of acquiring and don't think the JLA would have chance to fight off neither. That is why I think this crossover's gonna raise lots of attention as to see if the League can actually stand up against strong forces such as the atlanteans of the sea. But agreed with you, there's so much going on within the DC Universe it's going to be more of worrying about your funds on comics rather than choosing from your pull list of issues you want to pick up. Hopefully there's no crossover like the "Blackest Night" every again, that ended up a complete catastrophe for comic fans, alike. I was buying issues left and right, but finally had the smarts just to wait for the novels of the other titles to be released, reading along the main plot of the story, until the novels where to be released, so I could read further in depths of the "Blackest Night". Right now, I'm following along Rise of the Third Army, Death of the Family, and most likely Throne of Atlantis.
the main reason i m excited is becaue of Shazam..however Aquaman has been pretty good so far...and i guess this might result in Mera joining the league
No not excited at all. But I am excited about Hawkman: Wanted.
With the exception of Flashpoint, I have never been more excited for a DC event.
And since Johns made Aquaman top dog in Flashpoint (nearly defeating WW before she was saved by Captain Thunder, flooding Europe, etc), I have every faith he will do even more in ToA.
Plus GL, Supes, WW, Batman, Flash all had their events, now it's time for the King of the Seas to have his
Throne of Atlantis is probably just another Atlantis Attacks story.
Throne of Atlantis is an arc I'm excited for yes.
Am I the only one that thinks the prelude will most likely be a cash grab that isn't important to the greater story?
@Reignmaker: yes... is a small crossover so i m pretty sure everything will be important
Hell yeah! Just bought and read Aquaman. 1-13 and am kicking myself for being so late on this book.

Why does that guy look like an Aquatic Batman?
That's what I thought. I thought this would be an event where Dc heroes would fight other Dc characters.
Heck ya I cant wait, it sounds pretty cool. I loved the Trench and I'm about to read The Others. This new Aquaman has been the best thing about the new 52. Geoff Johns is writing a great story and Ivan Reis & Joe Prado's art looks sick.
Review for Aquaman #14, prelude to Throne of Atlantis will be posted up tomorrow, so be on your toes and keep updated with my recent reviews by following my CV page to get the scoops of the new issue. My reviews are the newest and current issues, particularly those of DC and Marvel Comics, so you will be seeing critism from comics you might not have come across, yet.
Hell yea boooyyyyy!!
My question is...it shows Shazam with the Justice League, assuming he's fighting with them? which begs the question...WHEN DO THEY MEET?? In the current Shazam backup, he's dealing with his own thing, and hasn't even met the JL yet, I'm assuming this Atlantis Arc is coming up soon, how will this tie in with Shazam??
