Anyone a fan of Ben 10?

...I should probably clarify.

Anyone a fan of the original Ben 10? Not the stuff CN's been trying to pass off as Ben 10 for the past few years. Seeing the gradual drop in quality and popularity was pretty tough for me, especially considering how much I loved watching super hero TV shows, and any possibility of a return to its glory days would be a dream come true for me.

Does anyone else think that (the original) Ben 10 would make a great addition to either Marvel or DC's comic book universes? I'd love to see either one of them (esp. Marvel) buy the rights to the characters, produce a higher-quality revival series, and (possibly) incorporate them into a new animated show more true to its original roots. Heck, if it ever reached the same popularity levels it had once in the day, there might even be a (minor) chance of them becoming part of Marvel's cinematic universe.

Thoughts?

GR being superior to B10? That's like claiming Johnny Test was superior to Danny Phantom. Just doesn't compute.

Anywho, I was a fan of the series up until Omniverse when they started changing the character designs. I just wasn't feeling.

It's a very cool universe/concept, and with better animation, I'd be up for a new adventure, but I'm also interested in following events outside of the Tennyson clan. Maybe a Plumbers series or something.

While I think there's potential, I think Ben 10 is fine as it is. If it were going to be a comic, I've heard good things about some of the CN's comic adaptions, like Steven Universe and Regular Show, and I suppose LEGO: Ninjago would count, but I'm pretty sure a different crew makes those Graphic Novels anyway.

It's got a lot of possibilities and it's set up so that all you have plenty of concepts to play with. Just needs someone to make a decision.

Also, I'd argue the biggest B10 fan here is @iamoptimusprime.

I loved it up till Omniverse, which ruined the series for me.

You earned a follow. Ben 10 was a nearly perfect show. Alien Force and Ultimate Alien were cool though. Omniverse sucks ass. Literally only 2 good things came out of it: Rook Blonco and FeedBlack.

The original series was awesome.

I did until Omniverse came out the animation was horrid and the made the show to kiddy and all the maturing Ben did from the beginning of the series was thrown out the window making him an immature douche.

Original and Alien Force was the greatest among the series.

I love ALL the Ben 10 shows.

Except for Omniverse which basically stripped away all the development that Ben had in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien.

He's basically back to the whiny brat he was in the original series, except unlike the original series, he isn't likeable at all.

One of - if not, my favorite cartoon franchises of all-time. It was great up until Omniverse....which, is something I ignore as complete fan-fiction. A truly abysmal series indeed.

Oh my gosh, yes. I was gonna ask this same questions as well. :).

Anyways, I liked the original and spin off. After that I couldn't give a crap about what went on with the show. Okay, mostly cause Gwen was my fave character and the spin off iirc was was when Gwen finally didn't become like Diana Lombard.

I used to love the original Ben 10 when I was younger. Now CW sucked the soul out of the franchise.

The original series was great. Alien Force was already much worse, Ultimate Alien felt even worse and Omniverse... lets never speak of Omniverse again.

Does it feel to anyone else like most television show 'sequels' (ex. Teen Titans Go, Avengers Assemble, Ben 10 AF onward) were noticeably worse than the original shows that spawned them? I honestly wouldn't have minded seeing Ben stay a ten year old if it meant preserving the same character and animation integrity.

I wouldn't call Avengers Assemble a sequel though.

I'm actually a fan of Teen Titans Go. I don't get the hate for it, considering it basically erases most ties with the first series, by obviously being an entirely different continuity, so even comparing them just for having the same team doesn't work.

I suppose. Though in all honesty, Teen Titans was starting to drag on for me, and I was not in the mood for more romance stories with Beast Boy and Terra, cause that's what it looked like they were going with for another season.

I used to love Ben 10 series until Ominverse happened and i gave it lot of chances. I dont think Ben would do great on Marvel or DC comics.

@kuffyruff: IDWPubshng has a partnership with Cartoon Network to produce comics based on its properties. Ben 10 is one of the titles to be published.

I like the first and the second series. The third one was shit though.
