I'm a Marvel Fanboy but the only Now titles that I find myself enjoying so far are Thor: God of Thunder, Cable and the Xforce and somewhat of Superior Spiderman... Any suggestions on another great title to add to my pull?
Any good Marvel Now titles?
The only Marvel Now book I've read is the new Uncanny X-Force; I won't say it's bad, but the first issue wasn't as good as what I expected.
I like Uncanny X-force a lot more than Cable's X-Force. I'm loving Fraction's and Allred's FF. Can't wait for Wood's X-Men. Avengers And New Avengers is good, but you can tell it will be mind blowing great once it gets going. It's to soon for me to have a real opinion on Gillan's Young Avengers.
@judasnixon: I'm really excited for both of the X-forces because of Cable and Bishop and both Fantastic Four and FF look good... I saw a preview for just plain X-men and it was a all female cast, is that a thing?
@Decoy Elite: Is it on a good starting point, I thought those had like infinite issues
@CuddlyPlane: Eh I just got in with the last two issues and while it's not the best jumping on point it's not hard to get into IMO.
@Jorgevy: I read all of the last run of deadpool and loved it till the last few issues, this new one though I'm not a big fan of and trust me I LOVE Deadpool
The all female X-Men looks pretty sweet IMO. Don't know when it comes out though because I'm horrible.
@The_Tree: That one was one I wanted to try but wasn't sure if it was actually going to be serious about story, depth, etc. but that's just me being stereotypical I guess towards Hulk
The only Marvel NOW title that I find even remotely enjoyable is All New X Men, everything else is meh.
I've actually been quite pleased with the 'Now' titles I've decided to pick up. In order of enjoyment, here's what I've been reading...
1) Indestructible Hulk - Waid + Yu = awesome sauce. Unfortunately Yu is gone until further notice after issue #5.
2) FF - Fraction might be my favorite writer for the new year. FF fills the void if you're into quirky books with underdog heroes.
3) Deadpool - You either love him or you hate him. The fact is though, DC doesn't have anything remotely close to Deadpool on the stands right now. Violence + humor.
4) Fantastic Four - Another Fraction offering. Early issues have been mostly setup and the dialogue hasn't been as strong as in FF, but the action n' adventure is starting to pick up.
Note: Since Hawkeye isn't technically a Marvel Now book, I didn't include it. However, it's actually more accessible than most of the 'Now' titles. If included, it would be #1 on this list. Really, with all the amazing reviews it's been getting, no one has an acceptable excuse to not be reading it by now.
@CuddlyPlane: Congrats on Thor, I think that's one of the strongest NOW titles. My current Marvel's in order(ish) of favourite-ness
- Thor: God of Thunder
- Daredevil: End of Days
- Punisher: War Zone
- All-New X-Men
- A+X
- Superior Spider-man
- Avengers
- Captain America
- Deadpool Killustrated.
If it's specifically an ongoing you're looking for, Avengers and All-New X-men have been great and leave you with lots to talk about :)
The only Marvel Now title that I can think of that was just straight up bad was Daniel Way's Thunderbolts. That's a pretty good track record for Marvel Now .
I have been really impressed with Marvel Now so far. It is early and a lot of the books are still in the initial set up for the story, but it is looking pretty strong so far. My favorites so far have been:
- Thor - If issue #5 is comparable to the first four, then this will be one of the best stories that I have read in a while.
- Hawkeye - Every month, this book continues to impress. The story stays fun and it is quite unique to anything else on the shelves at the moment.
- New Avengers - I think that it is being set up to be quite a story.
- Avengers - Just like New Avengers, this is setting up for something grand. I hope that it can all be pulled together as well as it is starting.
- Fantastic Four - It seems like it will be an interesting story. I get irritated about stories in which everything could be avoided if people just talked things out. I feel everything that is going to happen could be avoided if Reed just tells the family what is wrong. I'm sure it will still be a good story but still frustrating.
- Captain America - Brubaker's Cap was one of my favorite runs of all time and this is a far departure. I am enjoying the story, but the art isn't that great. There will be a very well done panel followed by an extremely rough panel. All children have pumpkin heads and look awful.
- Winter Soldier - This would be higher up because Brubaker's run was great, but it just ended. The new creative team starts on Wednesday and I am looking forward to what they have to put out.

X-Factor has been a great series for years now. One of my favorite... I'd suggest giving it a read.

Indestructible Hulk is fantastic.
Like about 80-90% of Waid's work. Guy is a top-notch writer. Hulk is always best when we get inside of Banner and how he feels about all this. That was a great strength of Peter David's run. I also recently was recommended the "Dogs of War" arc, and it was quite good as well. I guess I like my Hulk to "smash sometimes"..but there has to be more to it than that.
i used to be a strict DC guy but lately my pull list has twice the number of Marvel books compared to my DC. Every Marvel book pitched sounds amazing. my only hope for a cosmic DC tale was Threshold and....its a stinker. that said i would recommend dipping into all the Marvel Now books. theyre just that good at the moment esp New Avengers, Young Avengers and Indestructible Hulk.

ALL NEW XMEN!!!!!!!!!!!! and they are not MARVEL NOW titles but def read Daredevil and HAWKGUY!!!!
I just, minutes ago, finished reading New Avengers #3. If you're not reading that series you are missing out on some fantastic story telling. It's funny the marvel titles that I actually want to double ship are the ones that are monthly.
A+X is my favourite NOW tittle. It's funny and awesome.
Superior Spider-man is pretty good stuff. It's very interesting to read.
Avengers wasn't bad. I'll keep reading it, I guess.
New Avengers weren't good for me. I read first issue and didn't liked it.
