@unbreakable_fs4:
Perhaps the international market performance was more solid...
"Burrowed into 37 overseas markets day-and-date with North America this weekend, representing about half of its final international footprint, and earned $56.4 million, 23% ahead of Thor and 44% ahead of Captain America: The First Avenger. Combined with NA’s #1 opening of $58.04 million, Marvel’s tiniest superhero grossed $114.4 million worldwide in its first frame.
Top performing territories are the UK/Ireland which came in at #1 with $6.0 million, 28% ahead of the first Captain America, Mexico which took second with $5.6 million on par withGuardians of the Galaxy, Russia with $4.9 million in line with Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
No Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Japan and China and a lot other markets yet...

I think it'll have some solid follow up weekends because the word of mouth about it will get out there. I went it cautiously and really enjoyed it. Enjoyed it more than Ultron honestly. Not as good as Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy, but still really good.
I think most people weren't sold enough to go opening weekend, but you'll see the numbers go up over the next weekend or two.
Not necessarily. Mad Max was universally loved(definitely more so than Ant Man). While it's actually still in a theater not to far from where I live, it still dropped substantially weekly(though better than most).
Well Mad Max Cinemascore was B+ and Ant-Man A...
