The bounty hunter named Angela is heading to Marvel and she'll first pop up in AGE OF ULTRON #10. The final issue of the event will be co-written by Brian Michael Bendis and Neil Gaiman. To celebrate her stepping into the Marvel Universe, EW has posted a first look at the character's redesign by Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada.

Well, that's one big belt. Are you happy to see the Neil Gaiman/Todd McFarlane character break into Marvel and what do you think of the new look? Give the comments section a piece of your mind, Viners.

This could be cool I read some where tha she will join the GotG. Also is this the spawn version of Angela comeing into the MU or is it the new marvel version

I feel like this is a big deal? Since when was the last time(not counting past company merges) an "indie" crossed over and stayed in either the Marvel or DCU?

As far as the relevance to the character and the story has got me wondering. I've read all of the main AoU series to date and all I know is Sue Richards is still BA and stuff's weird. Issue 6 I was right there with it, but recently I'm perplexed.

The 90s look is still alive

Ah, the tradition of a female character wearing body armor that doesn't cover any major vital areas. Not that I'm saying breasts aren't vital.

i can't imagine how angela will fit into the marvel universe.

I think the new look work well enough. I mean its just a little classier outfit then her last one. Here is hoping she will do some big things in Marvel.

Appear in the book, yes. There was nothing saying she'd actually join the roster, though.

@k4tzm4n That makes a lot more sense than her just randomly joining the team.

Yup.

Erik Larsen pitched a huge bitch fit on facebook the other day about this, mainly because of some article that said what other characters should go to other companies lol.

Well, that's one big belt.

Ha. That's the same thought I had when I first saw the pic. Costume or could have been better.

Is it wrong that I don't know who she is and her importance?

Sorry, I've never been a Spawn fan.

From what I read (can't remember where) She will be popping up in multiple books over the year doing a tour of the Marvel Universe. It was back when they first announced it.

I kind of love that look

Is it wrong that I don't know who she is and her importance?

Sorry, I've never been a Spawn fan.

I've got no idea either, tbh

Wonder woman wants the boob part of her top back. :P

This art is a bit lifeless, especially compared to her Spawn appearances, but I'm sure different artists will give her more flair.

It'll also be interesting to see if she can be... interesting. Spawn characters always felt like excuses for the McFarlane toy line to me.

Unless she appears in Ghost Rider this is gonna be pretty weird

She's gonna be a beast, power to be feared! Go Angela!

Based on what I've read so far, this has got to be some kind of "You guys broke space/time and so the higher powers have to step in to make things right. Here, this angel is going to police you dumb monkeys to make sure you do the right thing." Combined with everything happening in Avengers and New Avengers this could be some path toward introducing agents of the Living Tribunal into things to make the cosmic side of Marvel bigger.

Holy Crap! That belt could hold up three pares of pants!

Why give her armor when it doesn't protect many of her vital areas? >_>

*falls to knees in rain, shakes fists at sky*

Angelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! What have they done to you??? O_O

#26 Edited by theTimeStreamer (2841 posts) - - Show Bio

why not create a new character??? why her? she is all that is wrong with the 90's. guard that crotch with that belt girl. get some pouches and big guns. protect those sweet shoulders. prefferably only one.

She should have stated in the Spawn universe.

Hmmm, she looks like she would fit in the Thor universe

#32 Edited by Dernman (14763 posts) - - Show Bio

heh Angela's new job in the Marvel universe will be to bounty hunt down all the hero/villains who have died and come back to life. She is going to be one busy Bounty Hunter. :p Just a stray thought and not something I actually read.

I......don't get it? I guess it could be cool if done right. First Angela........next Spawn! Costume sux though imo.

Reminds me of 90's Rob Liefeld drawings...

No. Dear gods Nooooooo!!!!!!!

#41 Posted by OmgOmgWtfWtf (6954 posts) - - Show Bio

Wait....I'm confused. So is it just her coming to the Marvel Universe or are they planning to like drop the entire Spawn series into the Marvel continuum?

#42 Posted by bloggerboy (543 posts) - - Show Bio

While I liked that Gaiman won the lawsuit I'm not exactly thrilled to see Angela moving to Marvel. I mean her character is so rooted in the Spawnverse.

#43 Edited by ryu_talkative_batman (148 posts) - - Show Bio

An-who-la? She basically looks like the Valkyrie in Asgard, we don't need any more Asgard lookalikes.

Ah, the tradition of a female character wearing body armor that doesn't cover any major vital areas. Not that I'm saying breasts aren't vital.

And I was praising Marvel for giving Psylocke, Valkyrie and Carol Danvers decent costumes, too.

Completely unnecessary.

Did she raid Wonderwoman's wardrobe? Definetly dosent look like the Angela i remember, where are her Spawn earings? <joke>

#47 Posted by triplestuforeos (37 posts) - - Show Bio

All that legal action for this?

#48 Posted by RalfvdH (648 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm not digging the design... Feels like they just threw some stuff on her. That belt is stupid. Expected way more than this. Also agreeing in the Valkyrie look-a-like comment. She looks Asgardian

Also seems to have a bit of a phoenix theme in her armor. Her breastplate and shoulder pads reminds me of the Phoenix Five designs. She needs more ...UMF... in her design.

#49 Edited by Delphic (1463 posts) - - Show Bio

Aside from my earlier joke, I'm personally okay with this. I'm not a longtime reader of Spawn, but I'm a big fan of Neil Gaiman. Since he's co-writing it, maybe it will be pretty good.

#50 Posted by RalfvdH (648 posts) - - Show Bio

Maybe she is Thor's lost twin sister...or something :P
