Am I the only one who doesn't like the new spidey look?

I've always been a fan of Spider-Man every since I first heard about him and seen his movies. Recently I've started reading The Amazing Spider-Man series from issue #1 all the way from the 60s. So far I've reached about issue #283. But as I look at modern Spider-Man comics and animations they make him look like some weak little wimp who's extremely skinny. I know he has a slender frame but if you look at all the Vol 1's he's extremely built and well toned. What is up with this? I just don't like the way they downplay his appearance and abilities so much, especially on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon on Disney. Spider-Man is such a strong and powerful character and they make him look stupid. That is mainly what my point is.

I'd like to hear feedback on what other long time Spider-Man fans think as well.
