I can't stand Jack Kirby art, and I've always felt that it looked like ugly rock fat people.
Am I the only one that hates Kirby art?
Yes. All 7 billion people on Earth except you love his art
yup

That's not trolling dude. But instead of asking the question this way you should have said "Who else doesn't like Kirby's art?"
@gjgp27: Wow that was --not-- funny.
I like the artistic style for certain books like OMAC & Infinity Man.

Calm down, man.

Will people stop saying this internet cliche when someone asks "am I the only one" like they are clever or something. Its just an expression. Its like when you say "I'm dying to eat something" You, of course, aren't actually dying, I am sure the op is aware he is not the only one. Its sad enough that people have to constantly watch their punctuation and grammar when posting anything on the internet because some jackass will come along and point out every flaw with their paragraph, but now, people have to be legitimately literal with everything they say as well.....F^ck!! I love the internet.
Also, it is completely possible to be the only one on the planet who has done something. Felix Baumghatner is literally the only person to have skydived from space, Stephen King is literally the only guy who has had the idea and wrote a novel about little black entities that devour the time you have already lived in. It is possible that you can have an idea or do something in a world with 7 billion people on it.
I have no ill will towards the person I quoted here...I just think its silly that whenever someone asks, "hey, am I the only guy who hates spaghetti??" People always have to jump in and correct him. Grow up, internet.

You know that posting like this to several users in the same thread kind of sets you up for that troll label you immediately threw at someone, right?

It's not about being literal or grammar dude. I find it annoying that we get tons of posts asking this type of question cus it feels like a hot girl fishing for a compliment or a pat on the back when they say "I'm fat right? I'm ugly!"

IDK, you imply that I'm a Jack A** in your post. I feel insulted.
I don't see how some one couldn't love his art personally.
Eh... didn't look at it :/

I've probably read something with the guy :)
I haven't watched Django Unchained, I didn't read all 700 Spidey comics, haven't completed every single Metal Gear game, forgot to look at stuff with Scarlett Johansson... damn... there's a lot of stuff I haven't done that I'd like to do.

I personally find it ugly. He certainly revolutionized layouts in comic book art, but others perfected them. As far as his actual art goes, it always seemed kind of...weak, is the word that comes to mind. Like Kirby wanted to ape artists who did covers for old sci-fi novels, but wasn't talented enough to do it perfectly.
His stylistic approach isn't everyone's cup of tea, and neither is Mike Mignola's, but I like both. Still, even if you don't like his art, the man's responsible for creating/co-creating so many awesome characters and concepts.

Just a fair warning; posting like that is a quick way to get you're posts flagged, and your account locked by the Mods.
It's gotten old, but I personally still like it.
Besides, we owe him so much.
Just curious; do you think if he where still alive today, and they paired him with a great digital colorist, would his style still look dated?

@billy_batson: lel
I like it for nostalgic reasons but I wouldn't want modern comics to try and imitate the style.
It actually looked well executed in Forever People.
@outside_85: his designs remind me of less extreme liefeld designs
Yes. All 7 billion people on Earth except you love his art
At that time, his art was great. It really had a sense of action to it when compared to what came before him. Now, I consider it a very classic look. Very nostalgic.
I'm not keen on it, I prefer too many other artists from the time period, but its impact is undeniable.
