I see so much unneccessary hate in these threads. "HE is stronger!" "No HE is!" "You're a fanboy herp derp f*ckity f*ck!" I guess the rage is part of the beauty of it all to some people, but I just have to clear something up: Which character is stronger/faster/better isn't up to writers or official handbooks to decide, it is up to the individual reader. Comics are inconsistent about their characters' power levels and ANYONE can beat ANYONE at any time because the writers interpret characters differently and there is no Boss who decides, the only judge there is are the readers, and it is ok to be a "fanboy" and decide that Thor is stronger than Superman because he/she likes Thor better and would rather see him stronger than Superman. Therefore, I have decided that the Hulk is the strongest character there is, that Thor is indeed stronger than Superman, that the Flash is faster than Superman and everyone else, that Christian Bale's Batman would curbstomp Michael Keaton's Batman, that Thanos with the IG or Galactus could fart all versions of Superman there will ever be out of existence, that Juggernaut is NOT unbeatable and can be overpowered, that Cyttorak is just an overrated Elder Punk, that the God of the Bible is NOT benevolent and omnipotent and that Spiderman and Hal Jordan would NOT make a cute romantic couple, and this is NOT debateable, because I say so and I want it to be so. That being said, debating is fun as long as it is done without smugness and mudthrowing. Now proceed to be entitled to your own opinions and don't rage on others because they disagree of your decisions, they have no right to tell you different. Peace.

You got beat in a debate, didn't you?
Did you see the "TOAA vs Christian God" thread? He's an obvious troll, ignore him.

I'm a troll for stating the obvious and not believing in God? Note taken and swiftly forgotten. Hater.
@CannotSpellMyName: Nice rant, I admit I enjoy reading some of the back and forth rant columns (one of my fave is Superman vs Wonder Woman which got to about 16 pages long http://www.comicvine.com/forums/battles/7/superman-vs-wonderwoman/529182/ )
Rabid fanboyness will never die, from console wars to DC vs Marvel, I'm just glad that some people are great at articulating their arguments... although trying to compare characters from different publishers that can date back 50-80 years, whilst trying to adhere to Comic book Canon (that most of the writers are not fully versed in, and can dismiss at their own leisure) is convoluted enough without including personal opinions (gotta love that PIS tag).
I do have a lot of respect for comic book writers who are willing to make decisive decisions to settle old arguments, geek rage must have been at a all-time high when Geoff Johns decided that Barry Allen is faster than Superman in the Flash: Rebirth and that Barry had just been humouring Superman all this time.

Many times, but as I said, comic debates about battles can't really be "lost" so I stand true to any statement I've ever made (except that Iron Man would beat Batman, that was apparent bull).

Can't help but notice it's usually only those that lose who use that argument.
Aang would solo the Sith Empire. Deal with it.
Completed the 1984 quest set, could be worse.@CannotSpellMyName: someone hurt you. WHO??
@HowTerribleIsThat: hows the darth sidious vs galactus thread going there guy?
Diapers need to be changed, mouths need to be fed. One hell of a cry to pat a back to. Candy must be given to sooth the sweet teeth of fans. I won't be the arse and say this isn't a battle, or would I? Not even worth complaining about since it's going to be the same forever, and you can't change that by posting a run-on paragraph of a single point. Yes, fanboyism sucks.
Sentry has the power of a million exploding suns, Captain America is the best and will always be better than Batman, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is the most powerful Anime character ever, Spider-Man was more creative when he generated the webbing rather than used wrist-mount launchers, and Mountain Dew does not cause a decrease to sperm count. As long as I believe these, everyone who disagrees is wrong.
This is quite easy to dramatize an ill-fated point.

@CannotSpellMyName: Iron man would stomp batman into oblivion.I would be more than happy to debate that with you.
Thor can never and will never beat Superman, that's just how it goes. Wally West is one, if not the, most powerful earth based character.

That's your opinion, there are lots of arguments that could show the opposite, but it is indeed how it goes if that's what you think. The Flash is awesome.
