A fightning game with every fictional character

Imagine if it wouldn't cause like 1million law suits and was done right a fighting game were you could say play in like big battles as members of the jla,avengers,transformers who ever and just beat the crap out of eachother. With boss fights with abstracts or op beings like beerus or galactus or cuthulu or whoever.I think it would be cool.

For me, whoever made it would be pretty important. I probably wouldn't be too into it if it was made to play like Blazblu, Guilty Gear or Skullgirls lol I just don't like how those games look.

Imagine how hard it would be to balance.

There would probably be too many clone characters especially within each specific tier, but if it's somehow done well I guess it would be interesting.

mugen is already a cesspool of characters that range from normal to absurdly stupid.

plus in imho it would great if it was 3-D fighter budokai tenkaichi 3 because with so many awsome characters it would a shame to be restricted to a 2-D plane. maybe even have team battles like in xenoverse....

That would be impossible to make and there's no way that it would ever be made. There's billions of fictional characters, and having to create models/sprites for all of them a lone would take tens of years even with a team that consisted of thousands. Even if they all played exactly the same, it would take a very long time to program all of them.

Yes, it's possible, it's called MUGEN, the only limitation is up to whether the character is popular enough to get made by fans.

But it's much more fun when it's not well balanced

Sounds good on paper, but would play badly.

Something like that is simply impossible due to balance issues, different characters having too many busted and I mean BUSTED abilities and playstyles that don't mesh well, and would make 90% of the cast meaningless to play and kill all the fun.

But if anyone is interested and wants to try putting/playing with their favorite characters, and making them fight each other all in one game. Then I point you towards this beautiful creation to do just that:

So a FG with a million characters in other words? RIP balance lol. Games like MVC2 and MKA are broken(albeit fun, but still) and they have less than 100 characters so I wouldn't even want to imagine the level of brokeness a game with every fictional character would be like.
