Marvel Iron Age: Starjammers chapter 6

Engineering bay, Starjammer

A pink Kree named Col-Cas and a blue Kree named Nor-Vas follow Hal-Lass as he introduces 7,"This is our head engineer, Creed 7, he'll be your boss down here." Col looks up at him, "I've been in the engineering corps for 10 cycles what qualifies you to give me orders?"

7 looks down on him,"Are you familiar with Shi'Ar, Ferrum, Skrull, or Nuwalli technology?"

Col looks confused,"What's a Ferrum?"

Nor chuckles,"Take that as a no, I on the other hand am fully trained in the use of Shi' Ar and Skrull technology."

Col stammers out," I can take apart a skrull engine."

7 sneers,"Good for you."

Col leans back to Hal,"Any chance I could take him in a fight?" Hal replies,"Not at all."

Hal escorts more new crew men to the bridge and has them register with the Professor,"You 6 will be working here along with Agent Fry and David, Fry will give you your assignments. Doctor the med bay is directly below the Bridge."

Hanger bay

The remaining 10 of the new crew members all pilots showed Hal their fighters. He looks at them like a child in a candy store,"What are those."

One pilot, a pink Kree name Tor-Vel steps up,"These are new, they're called Razors. They're coated with vibranium and emit an energy field that allows them to pass through Shi' Ar shields as if they aren't there."

Hal runs his hand along the front edge and winces as Tor continues," They're built to be able to cut straight through any ship they hit, for those occasions when the guns fail."

Hal smiled,"I'll have to give one of these a try. Back to business, meeting on the mess deck in 20."

Mess Deck

Hal stands in front of the crew,"We're flying into the heart of Shi' Ar space. Our job is to break holes in the enemy's defenses and gather intel. Our first assignment is to a Shi' Ar prison station, apparently there's some kind of weapon held their that high command is eager to have in our arsenal. The exact specifications will be given as needed."

He looks over the crew,"Eat and rest up while you can and I suggest getting to know each other because from here on out these are your only friends."

Col stands up,"Whose the first officer on this ship?"

Hal rolls his eyes, "Hey Sam, you want to be first mate?"

Sam looks up,"Huh?" Hal nods, "There's your guy."

(I know this is short and slow but I'll make up for it next chapter)
