Note: Before you read, this is my first one ever.
Nobody was a well established hero ever since he gained his powers by his freak accident. He was well respected and even an Elder in the New Age Outlawz. He had fought against both the Vine Villains and the Hellfire Club. He had also been asked to help train newer members of the NAO.
Today was just like any other day. Bright blue sky, no worldly threats, and a hero trying to find something to do. Finally he heard a bank alarm going off. Quickly surrounding himself in invisible energy, Nobody took off towards the bank robbery. His coat flapping in the wind and a smile on his face with a chance to doing something exciting.
“Nobody can stop us now!” shouted one of the robbers as the jumped in the getaway car. The car peeled out and seconds later there was a crunch and the car was smashed as if it and driven straight into a wall though nothing was there.
“What the heck was that?!” shouted the driver and they started getting out to run. He was suddenly answered by a voice, “I’m Nobody and I believe I just stopped you.”
The man pulled a gun and started shooting in Nobody’s direction though Nobody didn’t even have to move to avoid his shots. He created a hand that went out and crushed the gun. Then he rushed in at the men, first punching one of them who were reaching for a gun. He then crouched down and spun around with his leg outstretched tripping another. The driver attempted to make a break for it but was picked up by an invisible hand and slammed against a wall.
By the time all this was over the police had finally shown up. A several officers were rushing to the robbers arresting them while another looked around confused. He scratched the back of his head and said, “What the heck happened?” Nobody standing next to the man smiled, then jumped on a disk he created and flew away.
Spider-Man was a swinging through New York City. He was unlike most Spider-Man’s, one he was a mutant and did not gain his powers through some sort of accident, most being Spider-Bites. Also his name was not even Peter Parker, but instead was named Nathan Mendenhall. He was also pretty respect by his fellow heroes.
Today was just like any other day on this Earth too, well although it seemed. Spidey swung about the city, every once in awhile someone would shout something like, “Hey Spidey!” up too him. Then his Spider-Sense started tingling, as loudly as it had ever tingled before. He thought this was the end for him, that his head was going to exploded from his spider-sense going off. He fell to the ground and held his head.
Just then it seemed as if space was ripping itself appear. People screaming as suddenly the Earth started cracking. Now like a crack like from an Earth quake but literally in half, like it had been made of glass and dropped on the ground. The atmosphere started leaving the planet and people were unable to breath no longer. Spider-Man was powerless to save anyone, even himself. He felt himself dying as he laid on the ground. Everything grew cold and hot at the same time and then became dark.
He awoke later what seemed to be an eternity later, in a completely white space. That seemed to go on forever. Some how he appeared to be fine, not a scratch or anything. “Hello, am I on a reality show or something? Those were some major special effects.” He shouted as hear heard his voice carried on it was seem like forever.
Finally a great voice appeared, “Nathan Mendenhall, or how you have had others call you Spider-Man, our universe has been destroyed.” Spider-Man dropped to the ground with this news. “What, who are you?” He demanded. “I am your universe and I have used the last of my power to spare you and to give you a chance to allow our universe to live on.”
Spider-Man couldn’t believe what he was hearing. This being which he couldn’t even see was claiming to be his universe and wanted him to live on. “Why me? Why not someone better?” Spider-Man asked. The being answered, “You are the most worthy hero. Though you just have not realized it yet. We do have a problem though. The universe I have attempt to place you in already as one of you.”
“WHAT!? How can that be?” Spidey was shocked at what he was hearing. “Every universe has a copy of each person in another. They may just be altered slightly. This other universe will allow you two to battle for the right to survive.” Spidey dropped to his knees thinking. “What do I want to survive for? Everyone I knew is gone.”
“Let me show you” the being said and suddenly Spidey’s head was filled with all new memories. It was like he had been born all along in this new Universe but also he still had his old ones. He had two lives somehow. “Ok, I want to stay. I don’t want to lose these new memories too.” Spidey said suddenly. “Very well” another voice said that seemed just as powerful as the first.
Nobody was still flying on his disk. He decided to head back to the NAO HQ when suddenly a light flash on him. “What the?!” and he was gone. He reappeared in this room which Spidey was beginning to this was Limbo or something. “Whats going on?” Nobody demanded. Spidey jumped back and said “There are three people now!”
“Nathan Mendenhall, or as you have been known as Nobody, this is your counter self from another universe. You two will battle for existence starting now.” Nobody still confused suddenly got hit with a face full of webs. He cut them off win a dagger he made and then charged in at Spider-man.
Spider-Man’s spider-sense was allowing him to dodge and attack Nobody. Nobody swung his dagger at Spidey which Spidey just hopped back a bit to dodge and punch Nobody right in the face. The punch knocked Nobody back several feet and he rolled on the ground. He pulled himself to his knees and blood dripped from his mouth. It could only be seen after it fell off his body. He punched the ground and stood back up.
Spidey had jumped in the air to attack Nobody by coming down with a kick. Nobody quickly shot a blast of energy at Spidey. In a split second, Spidey formed a shield out of webs and was hit by the energy wave. The blast ripped right through his shield and hit him knocking him back. Spidey got back up, his left Eye on his mask was missing and his jacket was ripped in half.
Alright lets see how you like this, Spidey grabbed one of his special web grenades and threw it at Nobody. Nobody put a small shield in front of him and the grenade exploded. Webs shout out of it and expanding in a split second around Nobody. They then compressed around him starting to crush him. Suddenly the webbing started to expand again and Nobody created a sphere around himself and expanded ripping the webbing apart.
“I’m going to kill you!” Nobody shouted charging in with a sword and shield made of his energy. He swung the sword as Spidey but again Spidey was too quick and punched him in the back of the head. This dazzed Nobody, and he dropped to his knees. Taking this change Spidey pulled off all the web grenades on one arm and wrapped them in a web ball which was connected to a web line. He then spun the ball over his head and let it fly and Nobody.
Nobody was unable to dodge while in his daze and was hit with the force of twenty of the web grenades. They all exploded and and then compressed around him. He yelled at the top of his lungs as his bones were being crushed by the force of them. He felt himself dying as his lungs were punctured by his ribs would broke.
Suddenly, Spidey was transported to Earth 1212. “Its over? I must have won I guess.” Spidey said. Although he had never been here before he had all the memories of it and knew it like he had lived their his whole life. He then jump up and started swinging to the NAO HQ.
On the other hand, Nobody was left fine. “Nobody you have lost your match. You will forever remain here in this state of Limbo. In a place that is nowhere and everywhere at once. Time does not flow and you never existed. You are now literally a Nobody.”
“NO! You can’t leave me here! I am Nobody! I will destroy you!” Nobody shouted at nothingness. The beings were already gone and he was left there to forever remain as nothing. “I will break free of this I swear it!”
Nobody sat on his throne that he created in a castle he created out of his energy. He just sat there no expression on his face. He had been sitting in nothingness for over a year it seemed to him, yet time had not gone by at all for him. “I want out of here!” he bursted all off a sudden as he created a lance and shot it at the air but suddenly the lance cut through something. It was stabbing air it appeared, he expanded the with of it and gaze though a whole of time and space. With an evil grin of his face he expanded the rift in time and space even wider. Nobody had come to a world he once called home, but no longer. He was here to destroy, if they were lucky rule over.
