Well it's time for me to scale back from my online life.

Why?

Well anyday now, my wife will be having our baby and since it's my first go at it, I kinda need to focus on them for a while. So I'll still be around, still write things but for a little while, probably December-January, I'll be quieter than I have been. I'm not leaving, just winding down.

I still have stories to write :)

In saying that have a look at The Rangers of Freedom, Peter Parker: Spectacular Sorceror Supreme and Marvel Iron Age: Distain (he's one of my favourite characters I've invented). A new Saga of Ravan will go up soon as well.

But my comments, critiques, feedback etc will be lesser due to a changing of my life.

Thanks for being patient with me. Now all of you "KEEP WRITING! Write hard, write often! Be inspired and inspiring! And for $%@#'s sake, comment on each other's work!"

See you soon, just not as often

batkevin74 better known as Kevin (you can see some of my other nerd stuff at www.curlencook.com.au)

I'll be sorry to see you go(ish), but understand (congrats btw)

good luck and all that.

I am glad you'll keep writing. maybe little batkevin74.2 will enjoy reading his dad's stories...or maybe they'll be new stories to write....

What? Don't leave us! It's bad enough Comic Vine lost the great AweSam and apparently Prime.

@BlackReaper: Not leaving, stepping back. Still here but not as often as I'd like, due to small human's arrival in the next few days :)

@batkevin74: We understand, having a kid is a huge deal. For the first few months after my daughter was born I barely had any spare time. One piece of advice from one dad to another I should share, most of your friends without kids will offer you parenting advice, unless they are a doctor or have some kind of degree in child care ignore all of it. It will be well intentioned but almost invariably wrong.

Is this a joke?

@thespideyguy: That I'm having a baby or that joshmightbe (as a dad) thinks that the advice given by non-parents is sometimes well meaning but invariably wrong?

@thespideyguy: I have a kid so technically I don't fit the criteria of those I told him to ignore but usually I try to avoid advice giving so your point is still partially valid

How amazing! Congratulations to both you and your partner -- things must really surreal for you both knowing your child will be arriving soon.

What a way to celebrate the holidays/end of the year. :)

Congrats, It's a tough job been there, did that, it's a wonderful expierience, and make the most of it. You will have time in the future, to come back to this place, and be prepared to spend a lot of late nights up with the baby, it's worthwhile. Goodluck.

@evilvegeta74: For the first couple of months with my daughter I doubt I slept a full 8 hours at any point but that first time she slept all the way through the night was the best sleep I'd ever had in my life.
