But you cram many things in such short space. I feel that we are intoduced to many new characters and concepts all at once. It could be just me though. My suggestion(which I would advice you to ignore since you are definetely a better writer than me) is to decompress the story a little. Give it a slower pace and expand on the ideas one by one.
