The Vine Collection of Current Fan Fic Groups

Hello everyone! I just wanted to make a thread giving information the people new to fan fics who want to join a group who to go to/what is each one about. I don't know any fic'rs who haven't joined a shared Universe fan fic at least once in their ficing career. I believe group fan fics are great for both new and experienced writers. Experienced writer get the pleasure of working with other people and having people to bounce ideas off of, while new fic'rs can learn from experienced ones through something like an approval system.

I like to write and would like to join the Marvel group. Am I supposed to write a back story or like a script for a comic. Not sure how fan fic works.

Contact @CapFanboy to join Marvel Genesis. to join, you just write a small description of what you want in the chapter, and then write it out anyway you want. You reboot a character that you are interested in. It can be prose, comic script, screenplay, or however you want to write it!

@primepower53 Wow, your nicest person I ever saw on the internet. Like, ever. I barely even cared about Genesis or read any of that stuff when I made it. Its a fanfic group. Almost all fanfic groups re-imagine characters, so what? It doesn't make them all rip-offs.

@GR2Blackout: I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that it's redundant. I'll file it under DC Genesis and Marvel Genesis, if you prefer. I just won't have the same type of thing done twice.

Prime, it is a group. You should add it regardless of your opinion on it.

You can see where he's coming from though right? The other groups had their own thing as they were based on the future of each universe rather than a complete reboot and the new amalgam universe rebooted the amalgam universe rather than just copying it. I'm not calling it a rip-off as the stories will likely be completely different, but I see his point about it being the exact same idea.

Well, there are two problems with that.

1) Looks like, unless he listens to @CapFanboy , he won't add Marvel Re-imagined. I agree with Cap, it's a group, so it should be added.

2) This is for fan fiction groups, not what character in a group are taken.

Cannon, not being rude but there was really no need for the first bit, that's already been settled. There is no point adding more people to the argument.

No, if you want him to add it then provide links. He doesn't have an obligation or the time to go hunting for sign-up threads that he won't get back and isn't being paid for. Bottom line is, you want it added, you provide a link.

Don't ask him to add them then. Prime's being a helpful member of the Fan-Fic community by providing information for people about fic groups they can join, if you want it up there you provide the links. If you're too lazy to go looking for information that YOU want added then who's to say he won't do the same. That's like if Marvel asked you to complete a script and when you were done asked you to send it over, and you said "No, you hired me so it's not my responsibility, you come and get it."

hopefully I am not stepping on prime's toes, but...I added a synopsis of splicers to the op (Josh is it accurate?)
