The shadows around Nikoyaka instantly intensified. The front of Nikoyaka's suit began to bulge slightly, causing a few tares to appear around the center. The object from before had taken form on the front of the sableye's body.
"Well, that's rather inconvenient" Nikoyaka remarked. "It seems I'll also need a new reaper's cloth." He trailed off, a hint of worry in his voice. "But that is another problem for another time~" he ended, getting back to the concerns at hand.
Ikazuchi launched the first attack, a punch clad in his surging power. "You don't have time to worry about the future." he retorted mid-attack. The sableye vanished before Ikazuchi could make contact, causing the raichu to strike the ground, a large lightning bolt striking down on the spot of impact. Turning, he saw that his foe had taken to the skies. In response to the electric mouse's attack, he sent multiple orbs of shadow raining down on the landscape below. Electricity flooding through his feet he chased after him, avoiding all the deadly orbs as they went by.
Quickening his speed, Ikazuchi seemingly made multiple copies of himself as he rushed toward his opponent. Suddenly Nikoyaka's eyes started to shimmer, becoming brighter until they resembled the sun's blinding light. Too late in shutting his eyes, Ikazuchi stopped. Then he felt it, the slight disturbance in the ionized air around him as Nikoyaka made his attack. The raichu responded instantly, shooting out a barrage of electricity in all directions.
Feeling the pain leaving his eyes, he reopened them. The sableye had put some distance between them, though it was obvious the attack had hit him. All over his suit, there were parts scorched off by the intense heat of Ikazuchi's lightning that had made contact. In every crevice of skin that could be seen through the ruined cloth were small, black gems embedded into Nikoyaka's body. A few of these gems shattered and fell off of the sableye to be replaced with his regular skin.
This was well known of Nikoyaka and many other sableye. They would feast upon gems with special properties that would end up at the surface of their skin, to be used at some point in the future as a source of extra power. There are multiple types of gems that give special boosts to different pokemon depending on their type. Two of which, Dark Gems and Ghost Gems, are considerably useful to sableyes. For this very reason, Nikoyaka controls all imports of these specific two stones. This is how Nikoyaka has managed to stay in power, even though regularly his power would be much lower than most other pokemon. By controlling the flow of these stones, he is able to keep them away from any potential threats while at the same time multiplying his own power with each one he can devour and fit on his body. This of course has it's limit, as each gem is temporary and as each one is used up, his power decreases.
"You certainly are scary~" Nikoyaka sang. "If I'm not careful, I might just run out of time~"
**Extra Information**
- A sableye's diet consists of various gems/jewels that rise up to the surface of their skin. Hence why eating such gems would be advantageous to them.
- About Nikoyaka's reaper cloth, the only way to obtain one in this world is from a dusknoir. Unfortunately, they all live with Giratina, who would be most unhappy to see Nikoyaka in his domain.
- The part where Raichu flies up after Nikoyaka is him using the move "Magnet Rise", that allows levitation in the games.
