Sith acolyte Vourrech took deep breaths as he suited up in his armor. A natural metalsmith, he had created his armor himself. The whole day he had been exercising for his Final Trial as an acolyte: A life or death battle between him, and Ravert. Ravert represented everything Vourrech wasn't. Vourrech believed in brutal justice and equality. Ravert believed in swift cruelty and domination of the upper class. Just before Vourrech opened the door, he closed his eyes. He thought back to 2 days ago, when Vourrech had woken up to the screams of the younger acolytes. As he approached their dormitories, he found them all slaughtered. Ravert had executed them all. As he opened his eyes again, he got the determination that he would need to best his opponent. He put on his helmet to protect his face, and entered the inner sanctum.
As he walked in, he saw Ravert. Ravert, a red skinned Sith-Pureblood, smiled as he stared down his opponent. Around the dark sanctum were the members of the Sith Council, as well as many other high ranking Sith Lords. A transmission appeared in the center of the room...The Emperor himself. He coughed before adressing the two students behind his mask. "The Sith Empire is nothing without strength. We refuse to allow the weak and the unfit to rise to the ranks of the Sith. You have both reached levels of skill unsurpassed by your peers. Ravert, a noble whose Sith lineage goes back to our first settling on Korriban. Vourrech, a poor boy of the streets who fought and broke the odds stacked against him. Choose your lightsaber!"
Ravert and Vourrech walked to the weapon stack. Vourrech surveyed the stack. He saw a lightsaber with a rather long hilt and a sharp disk with a hole in the center where the blade would protrude. He grabbed the hilt, igniting the lightsaber, as red light shot out. His helmet hiding his emotions and intentions, Vourrech set himself up in his preferred Djem So form. Ravert ignited his, holding his up in Shii-Cho form. The Emperor smiled. "Begin!"
Vourrech roared, his screams amplified by his helmet, the roar returned from Ravert. The two clashed lightsabers. Ravert began to swing his lightsaber in large circles, quickly and devastatingly. Vourrech was quick to deflect Ravert's attacks. Ravert's eyes were filled with hate as his blows failed to find their mark. Finally, one of the marks hit Vourrech's neck. The heavy armor on Vourrech's torso managed to absorb and deflect the blow. Vourrech's covered head turned back to Ravert. With a growl, Jufferce swung upward with his lightsaber, the blow just barely missing Ravert's feet. Ravert struck back with a swing of his lightsaber, which was deflected by Vourrech's armoured gauntlet. Vourrech backhanded Ravert, causing him to fall to the ground.
"Get up! Get up Pure one! Prove your lineage proud!" Vourrech taunted. Ravert spat blood on the ground as he roared at Vourrech. Taking a new strategy, Ravert began taking enormous, slow swings with his lightsaber. Every one was deflected by Vourrech's blade. Ravert was beggining to tire. As he took a deep breathe to relax, Vourrech struck. He swung at Ravert's hips, burning his side and taking Ravert to the ground. He held his lightsaber to Ravert's neck. Ravert looked up at Vourrech, his mouth filled with blood. "Do it!" Vourrech would not let this psychopath destroy any more innocent lives. He silently swept down at Ravert's neck, removing his head from his shoulders.
The Sith Lords stood in awe as Vourrech stared back. Finally, out of the darkness, clapping was heard. Out of the shadows stepped Darth Sifertion, the fearsome cyborg Sith Marauder. "Bravo, young Vourrech. You have raw skill...And a thirst for vengeance. You will unleash terror on my enemies...My apprentice."
Darth Sifertion laughed as he left the room, the young Vourrech by his side.
