Down On The Farm
It was one of the most lazy days on the Kent farm. The animals were even on vacation for the milking was done for the month do to some advanced tech that the fortess had come up with.The Scooby gang was laying around the pool not even a single case to figure out.Chloe looked at Pete and they thought of going out to dredge up some story for the paper that would at least not be about cooking like most of the post were. She tossed that all to the side and grabbed Clark and they jumped in the pool for another day of swimming.Ben and Peter were down in the lab looking up some items that would help when they returned to the city. They never could relax they pushed and pushed till they could learn no more.
The Silent alarm went off just before Lunch, Lex Luther was pulling down the long road to the farm , He had with him Lana Lang AKA cry baby Lang. He seen the potrol of soldiers and pretended not to and they let him drive right by. He hit the Lana Button he had in the car that let out a gas made just for her. Lana fell into a deep sleep , Lex then sped the car up and pulled into the barn.
Fun time he thought was about to begin and to imagine if this place was some place far up north he would never have so much fun. He hated to imagine if Clark did not trust him after all they had become like brothers. He smiled as he hit the panic button and the defenses of the fortress sprang to life.
Ben and Peter sprang to action out of the barn and into the air, with no building to help them they had a whole new approach to war. Armor and heavy armor at that. The soldiers coming began to panic this was not the prey they had studied , this was not the fight they wanted. Clark was a blur of motion across the corn fields followed by Kara and then by Laura. Lex manned the cannons to assault anything from the air. The shields were brought up by the fortress. Small Jets came in strong and Peter and Ben dodged the bullets that raced toward them. They tried but before they could dodge a new volley they had come back around and seemed to be keyed on them alone.
Kara's eyes turned to red as the flame lit up the rounds as they gave chase to Peter.
How long could he dodge she thought to herself. Laura had a more direct aprouch she simply picked up Ben and ran with him.....”Watch those hands younge lady” Said Ben “We are not that close”
Laura wanted to laugh but it was no time to do so, she laughed anyway.
Clark was looking around the field for how they arrived when another group appeared teloported in and with this group was a huge warrior in yellow armor. He took off toward the twins trailed by 4 others almost as large.
“Pete and Ben game time is over this just got real” Said Clark as he hit the button on his sleave that took Chloe and Pete and Lex underground. Clark focused on the first large yellow guy and surprised Pete when he used webs to pull him back to him and struck with a hard blow sending a shock wave across the ground but hitting the force field and stopping.
Peter was launched by Ben into the other two and he followed with a four strike move they were practicing from defense class.Lex used the force field generators to take out the smaller groups patrolling the grounds looking for trouble.Ma and Pa Kent drank coffee in the house while it all went down a force field keeping them safe.“Ma , you have any creamer for my coffee” said PaMa gave him the creamer and kept and eye out on the action.“They blew up the barn again Pa” Said ma Kent , oh look I found a danish”They seen it all before and it did not impress them.
Ben and Peter launched themselves up ward and took out some heavy armored air potrols as they flew by and when they looked down Laura was hitting on of the large guys in gray armor. She hated to fight she dusted of her hands after every bad guy went down.Peter was amazed she kept up such a sense of humor.“Hey bad guy number four” The huge yellow guy that was fighting Clark looked at Pete and Ben as they both tagged him with explosive webbing.The lights went out on the one in charge but the little ones seemed to not want to give up.
A grenade went sailing, high into the air and when it went off all electronics went out.The force field went off the world seemed to pause and Laura moved faster then she had ever moved before and then Ma and Pa Kent were in town drinking coffee and wondering how they got so far so fast.
