Back when One More Day/Brand New Day was coming out, I was frustrated enough to write several Spidey scripts. I started by rewriting One More Day Part 4. It had a couple of plot holes (which I address and fill), and, most famously, it had Peter Parker make some stupid choices.
Peter might sometimes make the wrong decisions. Peter might sometimes even be led astray. But he is a hero. This means by his own means or some deus ex machina, he should be making the right choices. I went w/the Latin thing (actually, a Latin phrase applied to Greek plays. Go fig.)...which led him to being a hero by his own means.
