So Scary- Knock! Knock!

Delbert Creek was a peaceful town. So many people have moved here to start their new life. A family known as the Andersons had just moved from New York. They felt that living in a big city was too dangerous for them, drugs, alcohol, and crime. But those reasons didn’t stop the citizens of New York from leaving. There’s always something dangerous going around in every part of the world, especially Delbert Creek.

Mr. Anderson had heard of Delbert Creek. His friends used to live here until they moved out. There was certain news of a killer, who comes to every house in the community, knocking on their doors and leaving dead bodies behind. Sometimes, the killer wasn’t there. Other times, random kids treated it like some sort of prank.

Mrs. Anderson never wanted to move here because she had heard the story. She felt bad leaving her old desk job behind. Besides, she made a lot of money out of it. Not to mention, Mr. Anderson started his career in journalism.

But the truth was that Mr. Anderson wanted to know the truth behind the story. His former boss said he could come back and have his job anytime he wanted. Mr. Anderson thanked him for the offer. But he felt that the Delbert Creek story could be big for him and that one day he’ll become famous.

He heard about a newspaper company telling stories that happened around Delbert Creek. After all, there was one story that caught his attention, the killer known as the Knocker.

The Andersons resided in their new home with the amount of money they saved. They planned to have kids back in New York. But they felt that the place wouldn’t be safe for them. The Andersons were careful enough.

Mr. Anderson worked at this new company, providing his skills to tell a story. Not much happened in the past few years. Other than that, the Knocker was the only good one that came out. It seems to Mr. Anderson that this was the only, interesting story. Maybe, his wife was right. Leaving their jobs might have been a mistake.

As Mrs. Anderson cooked her meal for dinner, Mr. Anderson typed his story regarding the Knocker. So far, the killer never appeared in Delbert Creek. Things must have changed since then and the citizens were quite happy about it.

Even though the Knocker hadn’t appeared in years, Mr. Anderson can still write a story about him, “Where’s the Knocker now?” The title of the article had an edge to it. His new boss would be happy.

His wife called out to him since the dinner was ready.

“I’ll be there in a minute, sweetheart,” he said. His eyes focused on the computer screen. There was still more to write. He could finish the story right now or come back after dinner.

He decided to finish eating dinner first, since he was quite hungry. He went to the table, sat down with his wife. They discussed about their new jobs, including the Knocker story.

A lightning storm was brewing in the night. There were screams being heard. Everyone went into panic mode. Cops came out, investigating the deaths of several couples in each house. The Knocker was back.

Mr. Anderson felt relieved that the Knocker returned to the community, so he could write more stories about him. But his wife wasn’t too happy about the news. In fact, she was very afraid.

One night, Mr. Anderson finished typing another Knocker story on his laptop. He left the bed. His wife suddenly woke up from her sleep.

“Where are you going, dear?” She asked. He turned around and said, “Oh, I’m going out to have some fresh air. I’ll be back.”

“Okay.” She went back to sleep.

Mr. Anderson came out of his new home. He scanned the area to see if anyone noticing him. Then he walked slowly to one house of a cop, who was currently investigating the gruesome deaths occurring in the community. He knocked the door.

Next Story- Survivor.
