Sharpshot #1

This takes place AFTER War of the Worlds issue 1!

Earth 2179, 17 Days ahead.

"Maybe this wasn't the best universe to stop in after all..." Sharpshot muttered as he ran across Darhum City's rooftops. Sharpshot ignored the aching pain of the batarang stuck in his leg and stumbled towards the edge overlooking an alleyway.

"What would Harrison Ford do in this situation?" Sharpshot asked himself.

"Jump onto a plane driven by a pilot we'll never see again."

"Right. God that's a great movie..."

"Psychotic? That explains a lot of things." A powerful and loud voice said from behind SS.

Sharpshot turned to see Superman and Batman both walking towards him.

"Surrender Sharpshot. NOW!" Batman commanded.

Sharpshot thought about his options for a second. "Ah what the hell..." He muttered. "I was down to my last trick anyway." Sharpshot reloaded his pistols and fired...

Now, Earth 1067 (AKA Marvel Iron Age)

Sharpshot popped into view of the futuristic New York that lay before him.

"Hmm. Not bad. Although I have the weirdest sense of Deja Vu..."

He watched as normal people walked by. Nobody seemed to notice his strange costume. A man in an armored suit also walked by and stopped right in front of Sharpshot's view.

"Sharpshot huh? I take it you're heading down to that heroes' remembrance thing being hosted by Ferrum?"

"Huh?"

The man stared at Sharpshot's twin pistols and bow.

"I'll need to see your license for those weapons sir."

"Wait... what did you say?"

"I need to see your license."

Sharpshot shrugged and pulled out his wallet. He pulled out a credit card and handed it to the officer.

"What the hell's SHADE?!"

"...Oh right alternate universe,,,"

"Sir I'll need to bring you with me for illegal fabrication."

"Oh... crap."

Sharpshot quickly tapped on his wrist computer. The dimensional reconstruction device whirred to life and in a flash of light Sharpshot turned to ashes and disappeared leaving the confused officer on his own.

Earth 616! during age of ultron...

"... Just no..."

Earth 2179, Stryker's Island Penitentiary

"Hmm... this is more like it."

"HOLY CRAP!"

Sharpshot turned as he heard the man shout. A security guard pulled his hand gun out.

"PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR!"

"Uh... this is awkward."

"DO IT!"

"Look this is all a big mis-"

Before Sharpshot could finish his sentence sentence several police guards jumped on him knocking him to the ground...

Later...

"JESUS CHRIST! WILL YOU GUY'S SHUT THE HELL UP!" Sharpshot yelled. "I AM SICK OF GODDAMN GUPPY JOKES!

Sharpshot sat uncomfortably in his cell. Years of training at the SHADE academy had prepared him for this. Too bad he couldn't remember any of it.

"Got a visitor for you Throughshot!"

"WILL YOU STOP CALLING ME THAT!"

"Hello Throughshot."

Sharpshot turned towards the cell door. Stood there was a man dressed exactly like him.

"Who... who are you?" Sharpshot asked,

The man looked confused beneath his mask.

"Of course you know me. I'm Sharpshot."

Nott gonna lie, I was confused like 60% of the time it took me to read this but I'll try and keep up with this.

@project_worm: Wait... did you read issue 1 of War of the Worlds? If not then...

I like it. Obviously some inspiration from Deadpool, but you created a really great character here! :)

@tommythehitman: I had this book recommended to me so I had to check it out, but I thought that as a first issue it doesn't setup the character well for new readers, which was a shame because it feels like you have a strong sense of Sharpshot's character. From the narrative I've assumed he's a former SHADE agent gone rogue that's now a Deadpool expy, which is fine, but I don't know where he's "come from" (this being #1, I thought we might get something of his past to launch new readers into the story along with him) which means I got a bit lost. The end was sharp though, love good versions meeting bad versions (I'm a sucker for those stories), so I'm not being negative-negative!
