Batman watched from a tower above the Wieters Hotel on-looking the scene. Batgirl poked her head from behind. "This guy looks like she means buisness," she grumbled. Batman squinted his eyes as he turned towards the building next to the Hotel. Quickly he threw a batarang towards the building, smashing threw the window and knocking out Deadshot. Batman and Batgirl leaped to the street below, cautiously approaching the vine covered building and backing up next to the door.
Batman motioned to Batgirl, who returned the motion. Batman placed a bomb on the spot where the door would be. The two waited 5 seconds, breathing in and out, as this was probably going to be their toughest challenge yet. Suddenly, a small explosion ripped the brick wall between the two heroes.
Psycho turned around to see Harley knocked out. "QUINN!!" he roared in a fit of rage. With a growl of anger, he pulled out his Saiga, firing at Batman. The shot managed to blow him backwards, but didn't do any significant harm. Psycho turned around to Ivy, "Ivy, ignite the explosives! I don't give a damn about Batman, but my plans have to be completed." Ivy walked up the staircase, only to be stopped by Batgirl. "See you've found yourself some new friends." she smiled. Ivy managed to get to her Makarov out and fire a shot into Batgirl's leg. She cried out in pain and frustration, giving Ivy enough time to send a kick to Batgirl's head, knocking her over the staircase. Ivy smiled as she looked down at her easily overcome foe. "Cute how you still think you can beat me. I've got better training, a worthy cause and friends in high places. All you have is a bullet in your leg." She laughed mischievously as she walked up the staircase.
Meanwhile, Psycho pounced on Batman, punching him again and again in the face. He held his face up to his, so he could see the man who would end him, "This city needs a real hero! And if you're too worried about your own image to do what's right, maybe it's about time someone took you out of the damn picture" Psycho picked up a piece of glass from the explosion, holding it to Batman's neck. Batman gripped his hands with all his strength, his will to defeat Psycho matching Psycho's rage and passion to exterminate who he believed to be "immoral". In a quick, sleek move, Batman pulled out a tazer, shocking Psycho in the neck.
At first, Psycho ignored the wound, but after 10 seconds of the burn, he couldn't take it any more, rolling on the floor in pain. Now, it was Batman who had the other hand, slamming Psycho's head against the ground again and again in order to stop him. "It's over Psycho..." he panted. "The police will be here in a bit". Psycho laughed uneasily, "Oh Bruce...You never cease to amuse me. Even if you do beat me, Ivy should be turning on the explosives that should send all these killers to hell, where they belong. Each member got a badge earlier today, with a tiny explosive attached. As soon as Ivy detonates the trigger, they all die, and I get sent to Arkham a successful man!"
Meanwhile...
Ivy was about to detonate the explosive. She wouldn't let Psycho down, not now. She closed her eyes, smiling as her finger glazed over the button. Suddenly, she overheard a voice from the TV. "This is Nancy Marsh, here in downtown Gotham, which has been turned into a hot-zone of destruction and violence. It appears that Doomsday has escaped from his prison at LexCorp and had attacked the city. But some kind of skull-headed, giant, spiked creature appears to be slowing him down. The two, along with mulch-billionaire Lex Luthor, the man responsible for Doomsday's original imprisonment, appear to be in some kind of battle that doesn't appear to have any kind of clear winner at the moment."
Ivy gasped in shock. "Sean...", she whispered. That monster-suited emo geek had gotten himself into some serious trouble. On the other hand, Psycho was her friend. She couldn't let him down. She closed her eyes and thought for 5 seconds. When she opened them, she made her decision. "Sorry Bryant," she cried. "I'll get you out of Arkham if it takes me my life. You and Harley"
With that, she dropped the detonator, and jumped out the window to help Psycho.
Downstairs, Psycho was beggining to lose all hope. It had been 5 minutes and no detonation. It appeared clear what had happened: Ivy was going to save the kid. "No...No, no, no no! Not now!" Whatever minimal hope he had was gone as red and blue lights approached the street. "NO! NO, NO NO!!! I FAILED! HOW COULD I?! HOPELESS!!!" he shouted, as the cops took him and Harley away. "I'M SORRY HARLEY! I'M SORRY!"
Harley was in tears as she looked at the man who'd given her all she had wanted. "MISTAH P! OH MISTAH P!!"
Two cops smiled as they smoked a cigarette next to their cars.
"So this is the nutjob who freed those criminals?"
"Yep...Lucky we got him when he did. He was making a lot of noise around Gotham"
Above the rooftops, Bane, and a mixed legion of both Bane and Psycho's goons stared down at the cops look of anger. Bane turned around, opening his arms as if in welcome. "Not to worry my student," Bane muttered. "We'll have you out of there in no time..."
