Who The Heck Are You?

Well, Marvel Mayhem is a kick ass re-imagining "sister" group to DC Mayhem (created by Joygirl). Our goal is to retell our stories of the Marvel Universe, simple enough right?

What Are The Rules?

Well the rules are pretty simple,

We take whatever we like from any continuity, and piece it together into a new universe that is suspiciously similar to the old one, but with whatever changes we've decided we want. It's Mayhem. A main difference, however, is our habit of stressing that stories stay interconnected -- this makes it seem more like a continuity, rather than a pile of stories. We play and build off of one another.

How Do I Join?

Once again, pretty easy all you have to do is send 1 chapter over PM under the Marvel Mayhem bracket which will be reviewed by the Mayhem judges on whether or not you get to join.

From there you get all sorts of perks such as...

You get to join the group PM to chat with all the other awesome writers to sort out the continuity, brainstorm a thing or two and discuss pretty much anything!

And once you post 12 chapters you become an honorary general which means you get to judge who enters and who doesn't as well as the power to take over the world.

So just leave a comment below if you'd like to join and you'll be a high ruler in no time!

Okay, so you've been lurking around the Fan Fic section, maybe reading some Mayhem and you think it looks like jolly fun, and it is fun. And you want some of this fun. Hold on there partner. You need some info before you start plotting your master series. Lemme drop a knowledge bomb on you.

Marvel Mayhem Index of Availability

This aptly named list tells you what characters (living) are locked (unavailable) or are public (self explanatory). While this should be your second stop, you should nonetheless clear all characters through ImpurestCheese as this list is not complete.

Marvel Mayhem Guide to Characters

This list tells the history of each character so you can reference/keep continuity if you write/mention said character. Again, it is incomplete.

Marvel Mayhem Legion of the Unliving

This is a list of characters that have met their maker in Mayhem. Unlike the mainstream universe, when you die in Mayhem, you stay dead. Well, usually anyway.

Pretty to the point, this is a list of the villains of the Mayhem U.

How about a rewrite of Astonishing X-Men?

@rabbitearsblog We definitely need an X-men title, but what exactly do you mean by a rewrite?

Oh, is the Marvel Mayhem like where we sort of rewrite the history of the characters or we just come up with different stories that's in the same continuity, but is different from the comics?

If you do Astonishing X-men, I may have to ask that Emma be left out of it. I was planning to use her in my series, however, I can be flexable.

Can I write X-man?

I can drop Emma from my series and replace her with Storm. The characters I'm planning on using are:

Emma (unless someone else uses her)

Hey guys, I'd like to do a Daredevil one. But I'd like to brainstorm with you guys so we can keep everything canon seeing as I had already begun writing.

I sent you a PM about Punisher and Deadpool series. I will correct grammar and continue it if chosen.

So, with the rules, if someone already took a character for the stories they will be writing, does that mean that we can't take the same character that the other person is writing? And if all this is connected to each other, can we like explain a certain character's absence in our own stories?

I'd like to join :) In my main language I've published a novel and written some other stuff, and I write fan-fictions too. I may try to write some of them in Englis lol I think that I'm going to write something about a team of women, a mix between Fearless Defender and Heroes for Hire. It's going to be difficult but I'll try :).

EDIT: I'm going to write an Heroes for Hire thing, with Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Shroud, Spider-Woman and Typhoid Mary as the starting team.

@irishlad I have an idea! So I already know that Luke Cage is featured in Heroes for Hire, but I had the idea of doing a comic where he was actually active in the 70's. I'm not sure if Nick Fury has been used yet, but maybe Nick Fury got his Super Soldier serum in WWII. A result is that he aged slower. So in the 70's he was still at his prime. It could be a blaxploitation like story about Fury moving up in the SHIELD ranks. If you don't know what blaxploitation is look it up. Some examples are Black Dynamite, Black Samurai, Shaft and more

@themanintheshoe sorry for the late reply, my notifications seem to be broken.

As far as I know Hank Pym is currently being written in Avengers Academy written by YoungJustice.

If you'd like to PM me I might be able to suggest someone different for you but if it's essential Hank be in it then I suppose maybe you could message @youngjustice and ask for permission to use him/ come up with a continuity plan.
